Pakistani stars are going international everywhere we look and Yumna Zaidi has decided to follow suit! The Sinf-e-Aahan actress is starring in a Desi action web series centered around Arab/desi superhero duo, Crestar & The Knight Stallion, who are hilariously relatable for all the desi folks out there! Ever heard of two superheroes fighting crime whilst having a curfew? Well, now you have. Their overbearing Arabic/desi mom will turn even worse than their arch-nemesis if they’re not home by 10! We’ve all been there, haven’t we? (Except for the fighting crime part of course!)
Besides fighting evil, Crestar & The Knight Stallion will battle curfews, immigrant values, arranged marriages, and… a beating from their mom. Oof! Good luck to them.
Yumna Zaidi looks ravishing in the snippets we saw of her in the trailer. We couldn’t make out what her role would be in the web series but we certainly saw sparks flying between Ayesha (Yumna Zaidi) & Crestar (so did her mom). Rishta time? You bet! We are hoping to see more of her once the web series airs.
The characters are Egyptian Arab American-based Pakistanis. There’s romance, action, and comedy as we all saw! Basically, the whole package.
Needless to say, it is an attention-grabbing trailer and seems to set itself apart from other web series we have watched so far. The 3-minute trailer gave us enough laughs to lure us in, we are definitely keeping an eye on this one!
