Kim presents a complicated human, who wants to challenge this Pakistani guy who thinks so much about himself, who has judged her and raised a finger on her character. Yunhi shows how deep-rooted patriarchy not only affects women but men as well in families.

Kim’s Impulsive Decision To Marry Dawood
Kim is definitely playing with fire. She doesn’t realize sometimes what challenges you become your desire. Though judgmental, Dawood seems like a good guy and has no ill intentions towards her or anyone so definitely taking panga with him is not such a great idea, we believe Dear Kim. Does Kim want to hold Dawood responsible for his actions, actions she believes are two-faced?
Dawood Still Under The Pressure Of Patriarchy
Dawood and his father both dare not resist the decision of the grandfather. Dawood’s father was just informed on the table that his son has been engaged and so was Dawood. He was not asked if he would want to marry Kim. A face of patriarchy that is still found in many households.
Naveed’s Wise & Sensible Suggestion
It was nice of Naveed to suggest that his engagement with Iqbal should be announced after Dawood and Kim’s wedding. Interestingly no one, neither the father, brother or Naveed has thought about asking Iqbal for her consent. We actually thought Naveed would at least ask once if Iqbal is agreeable to this proposal.
Yunhi is becoming interesting and making us see the subtle yet deep rooted double standards we have.
