Yunhi: Will Dawood Help Change Kim As Well Or, Is It A One Way Street?

Poor Dawood had no idea that Kim might actually be correct. Will he need Kim to be the catalyst for the courage that he needs, to rise against the patriarchy of his own family or can he do it on his own?
We’re warming up to Kim
It is noteworthy to see how beautifully the story has progressed that all of us, despite questioning Kim in many instances, are standing with her right now and she seems to be the voice of frustration each one of us is feeling at Suriya’s fate being decided by Dada Jee.
Both Kim and Dawood are absorbing things from each other. Kim noticing him offering namaz, Dawood facing her strong reaction on Suriya…
Did Dawood hint at the fact that he had offered a dua for her? Did he just judge her, just to find out later that she was right about Suriya?
Right now, though, Dawood’s journey seems to be more evident than Kim’s. We hope the story shows Kim learning the difference between honesty, outspokenness, and insensitivity when she expresses her thoughts. She also needs to learn the art of communicating respectfully with her elders.
Will Suriya Elope?
Will Suriya be left with no other option than to run away?
Will Dada listen to her?
Dawood, despite knowing from his mother that Suriya is not happy with the marriage, took a very weak stand for Suriya, which was very disappointing. But maybe we will see a slow journey.
Kim’s Actions: Her Independence vs Courtesy
Is Kim justified in going to meet Zulfi without telling anyone, especially Dawood? Can it be justified as independence and the right to make her own decisions or is it pure disrespect? The very thing Kim accuses the family of, that is, not respecting her’s and others’ choices – is she doing the same now? That in no way means to not follow her own mind, but just that to inform and have a conversation with Dawood or the elders in the family.
Iqbal & Zulfi: Reliving The Past
What a beautiful and refined scene between Iqbal and Zulfi. The way Iqbal shuts the door and the camera shows the ‘Kundi’ moving upwards was reflective of her thought process, and her emotional dilemma. Zulfi ney bohat kuch keh diya aur Iqbal ney kuch na keh ker bhi sub keh diya
