It was all happening on Zanjeerain in the lastest episode aired last night – from Torsum entering Rabeeya and Mudassir’s premises to the the water tank escape, Mudassir dropping an SOS voice note to Sir Buland and then, engaging in an animated, and yes, thrilling combat with Torsum that ended in heartbreaking tragedy. Yes, we know you’re feeling it! Read on as we break down the scene for you!

Zanjeerain’s latest episode delivered an intense sequence in the second half that was part thriller, part suspense, part action and part emotion all rolled into one.
Here is why we loved it:
- Mudassir hiding Rabeeya in the water tank was a thrilling and completely unexpected surprise. The cinematography from inside the water tank brought home the gravity and danger of the situation, making audiences sit up and take notice!
- The final moments between Mudassir and Rabeeya were deeply emotional and utterly heartbreaking. This amplified the loss of Mudassir, who had endeared fans to his character already. Ameer Gilani and Sajal Aly’s earlier moments, from the car wash to the shopping and right up to the brithday celebration, was a slow build-up to the final moments, making us hope against hope that Mudassir would be saved, even though we knew in our heart of hearts, that wasn’t about to happen.
- The cinematography and direction were spot on, delivering just the right amount of detail and a brilliantly executed sequence. From Torsum glancing in through the glass dorrs to Mudassir hiding Rabeeya in the water tank and then the combat scene, the sequence delivered on suspense, thrill and gripping frames that kept us invested – well played team Zanjeerain!
- The moment Sir Buland receives a message from Mudassir —only for Mudassir to later entrust Rabeeya in his protection — was such an emotional roller coaster of hope and then tragedy. What a tragic yet masterfully executed turn of events.
- The fight between Mudassir and Torsam was incredibly stressful, it kept us at the edge of our seats, desperately hoping that somehow, Mudassir would be saved—but alas!
Moreover, what gelled everything together was that, throughout the entire scene, the performances, intense action and gripping suspense, kept us glued to the screen, anxiously wondering what would happen next.
Anticipating the next Zanjeerain episodes
Rabeeya is still hiding in the water tank with no one knowing her location; which is both terrifying yet relieving at the same time.
Sir Buland just lost his brother and now his best friend. Will this be a pivotal point in his character? Will Sir Buland, who is already growing distant from Sher Bano, now turn a darker shade of sober? He certainly has a lot on his shoulders – the responsibility of Rabeeya, the quest for revenge for his brother’s death, Sher Bano’s nervous nature and the puzzle behind Mudassir’s death. Daniyal Zafar is certainly coming into character and we can take a bet audiences can’t wait to watch the upcoming events in next week’s episodes.
