It is good to see that Sunn Mere Dil, although foused entirely on the lost love feels of Bilal Abdullah at present, also brought us a wholesome story with Zaviyar and Bilal Abdullah – one that both of them needed to give life a second chance!

Sunn Mere Dil: Zaviyar and Bilal Abdullah’s Wholesome Bond

At the forefront of the Pakistani drama industry, 7th Sky Entertainment, under the creative leadership of Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, continues to redefine storytelling. Famed for their ability to weave engaging plots with striking visuals, the producers have fast established a reputation for delivering high-quality content that resonates with audiences. Their projects stand out not only for their emotional depth but also for the exceptional performances and visual artistry they bring to the screen.

Sunn Mere Dil is a love story, yes?

Correct.

But one that that we’re not sure will see a happy ending. But Sunn Mere Dil is also about a whole lot more. The drama surprised us with a dose of positivity and a whole lot of wholesomeness as it zoned into the gradually developing relationship between Bilal Abdullah and Zaviyar – A young man, Bilal Abdullah, who had lost hope in life and love, finds a reason to restart because, well, he realized he had the power to save a life and by giving hope, make the lives of those around him more beautiful. And an even younger man, Zaviyar who had just lost his dad, his best friend and also come to terms with a cancer diagnosis is brought out of the darkness, through an encounter with a magical soul who heals him, inside out.

And that, in a nutshell, is Bilal and Zaviyar’s wholesome bond.

Where Bilal needed to feel that he belonged, he found Zaviyar. A person whom he was able to help, not just with his wealth, but so much more. Bilal Abdullah finally felt needed and this feeling of being needed can help people find a purpose, and turn towards life once more, as did Bilal.

On the other hand, Zaviyar needed a positive male figure in his life, not just to replace his father, but also as a companion, someone whom he could relate to, more like a buddy, a friend, who wasn’t merely an adult, but so much more (he has two of those around in his mom and sister already), and Bilal fit the mould perfectly.

Sometimes it takes just one person to come along and change perspective, make you hopeful about the future, believe that humanity exists and also, know that you can rely on this person if the going gets tough – for Zaviyar, Bilal’s coming into his life was all of that and more. Bilal Abdullah also set great examples to the point that Zaviyar believed in his inner goodness, an example young boys without a father figure in their lives would always benefit from.

Bilal on the other hand, is now acutely aware that he has formed a strong bond with Zaviyar and his family – strong human connections being the missing link in his life. And this new relationship has given him strength to want to seek love, think about marriage, give up his vices and become a better human being.

Both characters have subtly added miles to the Sunn Mere Dil narrative. Like we said, the story might be one of love, yet the relationships and characters it wraps around the tale, especially that of Bilal and Zaviyar (Sadaf and her mom being another) deliver smile-worthy moments to viewers in every episode.

The relationship here is reminiscent of many young people who might have lost one or both parents and need a grown-up whom they can look up to and admire, and also, adults too, at times have so much to learn from children and in doing good and being selfless, end up not only benefitting others but themselves as well!

Tell us if this relationship moved you as well.
