Last night’s episode of 22 Qadam on Green Entertainment left us smiling from ear to ear. Simply, a treat. Not only did our 22 Qadam girls win a championship trophy, there was also some heart fluttering romance to be seen. The victory was made even sweeter as Fari and Junaid finally confess to each other. Stick around to know what exactly are we talking about.
The drama about girl power, sports, friendships and sometimes love stars Hareem Farooq, Wahaj Ali, Dur E Nayab, Alina Abbas Shah, Nida Mumtaz, Shahnawaz Zaidi and recently seen in this episode, Saleem Mairaj. It is directed by Anjum Shehzad.
Here are 3 moments from the episode last night that left us smiling, teary eyed and celebrating all at the same time:Get Ready for The Archies: A Look at the Cast and What The Trailer Promises!
Fari’s Celebration Mood, Amber Joins In & The Raghra Girls Celebrate!
Fari as always being the life of the party leaves no stone unturned in celebrating the win! She even successfully convinces Amber to stay the night and not worry about reaching home in time to meet her to be husband, only for the first time ever – not a big deal? Trust Fari to always somehow convince Amber to be her partner in crime! She’s the one person who always has a plan, her spirit and energy is infectious. Hareem as Fari yet again doesn’t fail to leave us infected by her!
Even the girls dancing and celebrating their win with Junaid who is a positive male figure in their lives shows how women will allow men in their space, in their innermost safe circle, to celebrate and men can also be a pat of their victory or triumph.
Liza’s Heartwarming Journey Leaving Us In Awe
Liza is the wingwoman we didn’t know Junaid needed. On a serious note though, we are so glad to now have a female character who isn’t drowning in toxicity. She is different and has had a definitive heartwarming journey. What she did, very few could have and that too, so gracefully. Audiences are commeding the starlet’s absolute natural portrayal of Liza.
She plays her due part in bringing together, the destined to be, Junaid and Fari. She convinces Junaid to make most of this opportunity to propose Fari, how they are best friends always but they can’t fall in love because ‘You think you owe me, I thought I own you, that’s not what Love is!’ She sure was convincing, even we couldn’t expect her tears soon falling down her face as she went in to call Fari. Our hearts broke for her as she wiped her tears away…
She then goes a step ahead and even tells Fari to now go and listen to what he has to say and not say no this time. Kudos to Liza to being so selfless and a great friend. We usually see a very jealous, toxic woman in an unrequited love situation similar to Liza’s.
The Unconventional Yet Audience Approved Proposal Scene
Audiences are going gaga over the much awaited proposal scene. It was short, sharp with no extra frills yet made impact and left us with cheesy grins. Though quite unorthodox and unconventional, it kept true to the very spirit of both the characters while injecting some humour. Junaid’s attempt at singing and referencing the ever famous, Ko ko korina song was an absolute hit for audiences. It wasn’t sappy or melodramatic, it was witty and cute!
It once again, reminded us of the great chemistry Fari and Junaid have, their entertaining banter and the drama’s ability to break free from the conventional and stereotypical!
What made the proposal the cutest for you, the Punjabi dialogue or Junaid’s version of Ko Ko Korina?
