As a Pakistani drama fan, the first thing one notes in a new drama even before the teaser is the leading on-screen pair. You might think we’ve seen it all and that nothing new is coming. However, think again and keep reading this article!

There’s nothing like a classic on-screen pairing to get us excited—Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan’s reunion in Love Guru had us all talking, and we’re still counting down the days to Shandur just to see Sanam Saeed and Fawad Khan together again. But there’s plenty of room (and excitement!) for fresh, unexpected pairings too. And guess what? Audiences are totally here for it! Sajal Aly and Hamza Sohail in ZPKB and DWGM? Instant fan favorites. Dananeer and Ahad Raza Mir in MSM? Surprisingly electric. Even Khushhal Khan and Ramsha Khan in DP got a big thumbs-up.
The takeaway? We love the old, but we’re just as ready to welcome the new – especially when the chemistry clicks. And speaking of new… we’ve just heard that three fresh on-screen pairings are cooking, with shoots already in full swing. We’re excited – are you? Curious to know more? Scroll down and find out!
Oh, and by the way – Humayun Saeed and Sajal Aly are coming together for the first time as an on-screen pair in Main Manto Nahi Hoon! If you haven’t caught the teasers yet, tap on our recent article below!
Main Manto Nahi Hoon: The 2nd Teaser Tells Us Exactly Why It’s Named “Main Manto Nahi Hoon”
1. Mawra Hocane & Talha Chahour

Mawra Hocane and Talha Chahour are all set to share the screen for the first time in Sarwat Nazir’s upcoming project Jama Taqseem. Talha, who took a short break after Jannat Se Aagay, made a comeback this Eid in a special telefilm opposite Sabeena Farooq. Meanwhile, Mawra is currently on air in Agar Tum Saath Ho, which has been receiving a mixed bag of reviews from viewers.
Jama Taqseem is slated to air on HUM TV in a prime-time slot, and if you were one of those who fell for Farjad and Umeed’s dreamy wedding in Fairytale 2 or swooned over Roshi and Talha’s heartfelt beachside confession in Meem Se Mohabbat, then get ready – because this one’s promising. With Ali Hassan – the brilliant director behind Fairytale 1 & 2 and Meem Se Mohabbat – at the helm, expectations are high!
2. Sehar Khan & Wahaj Ali

Wahaj Ali and Sehar Khan are set to star in HUM TV’s next project. Directed by Saife Hasan (the visionary behind ZPKB and Tan Man Neel O Neel) and produced by Momina Duraid, this project brings together two rising stars for what promises to be a delightfully unique twist on the serial format. Saife Hasan himself describes the show as “It’s a serial, with a comic take on horror,” hinting at a playful, eerie mash-up that breaks away from conventional storytelling.
Sehar Khan has earned acclaim for her bubbly, promising performances in dramas like Fairytale, Jafaa, and Tan Man Neel O Neel, while Wahaj Ali has become one of the industry’s most magnetic leads, known for powerful roles in Ehd-e-Wafa, Jo Bichar Gaye, and Sunn Mere Dil. Joining them is a talented ensemble cast including Nadia Afgan, Syed Jibran, Romaisa Khan, Sidra Niazi, and Arsalan Naseer – adding further dynamic energy to the mix.
3. Sajal Aly & Farhan Saeed

Sajal Aly and Farhan Saeed are coming together for the first time in ARY’s upcoming drama, tentatively titled Tu Jo Mila. Directed by Qasim Ali Mureed and produced by Six Sigma Plus – the project is written by the late Saira Raza (who also penned Mere Humsafar), the series has its shoots scheduled to start next month, and word on the street is that it promises to be a powerful slow-burn romance with beautifully crafted storytelling.
“It’s a love story – a pure Pakistani drama!” That’s how director Qasim Ali Mureed describes Tu Jo Mila – a story rooted in emotion. The ensemble cast is yet to be officially announced, but with Sajal and Farhan leading the charge, expectations are soaring.
