2021 is definitely the sparkling year of the Pakistani drama industry. We are watching so many thrilling and empowering performances in dramas with exquisite storylines. We couldn’t be more proud to see how positively our industry is evolving. Scroll down to check which 8 actors impressed us this week!

Did you also like their killer performances?
1. Faryal Mehmood In Raqeeb Se
Insha literally melted our hearts when she was in tears. That conversation with Maqsood Sahib, from arguing to begging him… you just kept us hooked.

2. Affan Waheed In Shehnai
Affan playing the pareshaan, kind hearted & mushkil situation mein phansa huwa Meraab in Shehnai is such a refreshing character to watch. The way he not only cares for his flame’s feelings, but also for the emotions of his (who knows) to be future wife, Bakht, completely melts our heart!

3. Yumna Zaidi In Dil Na Umeed To Nahi
Sumbul is on a roll. Planning & standing upto aunty & her goons. Yumna has successfully cast Sumbul in an intriguing mysterious aura, with her fleeting, often quizzical expressions & body language.

4. Kinza Malik In Phaans
Zeba’s mom in Phaans was superlative in portraying a mother who was in pain but wanted to stand by her daughter. In the beginning we despaired that Zeba could (sadly) not count on her mom, but a mother’s heart will eventually relent & do anything for her child. Kinza Malik is giving us those motherly feels!

5. Sheheryar Munawar In Pehli Si Mohabbat
Aslam jee, tussi chah geye ho… from flirting with Niggi Apa to having the courage to tell your mamoo the truth… Bravo! We loved you. And we have to be very open: we love how you always run after Rakshi when she is khaffa with you and you beg for her forgiveness with those puppy eyes of yours!

6. Rabia Butt In Pehli Si Mohabbat
Rabia Butt as Nargis was for sure the uncontested best actor this week. Her portrayal of anger, love, concern & then showing Faizullah the mirror was zabaradast & heart-winning. Rabia jee, tussi great ho. Her fiercely empowering character is definitely inspiring for so many women among us. More girl power to you!

7. Furqan Qureshi in Raqs e Bismil
Malik Shehryar kay badaltay roop & portrayal of calculated kameengi is nailing it so well, that we don’t even hate him, we are just curious to know; what he’ll do next. What do you think he will do next?

8. Zara Noor Abbas
Zeba’s haunted eyes yet the emotion in her voice – what a spine-chilling combination delivered so beautifully by Zara jee. We’re so delighted to such a strong-willed rape survivor who will not sit back and give up, but fight against the corrupt system to achieve justice; not only for herself but for all the women? We applaud you, Zeba jee!
