Recap, revisit and give a shout out to the drama scenes that left an impression this week. Here’s our top 8 drama scenes to get you in the mood for next week’s episodes.
1. Biryani and Meeran Saying It All
When Meeran told Nisa that he was aware of the scheming to get rid of him, when he mentioned that he tried his best to avoid a scene, that his upbringing did not allow him to behave rudely or ungraciously, so he made excuses to bow out of the tuitions himself, rather than making her feel embarrassed or ashamed, it was a prize moment onscreen. Khushhal Khan nailed the dialogues, expressions and tone, as Ramsha supported with expressions that transitioned from frustration to surprise and then guilt.
Well done team Biryani, this was a job well done.

2. Biryani and Gul Mehar’s Charm
When Gul Mehar met with the village women and showed them how to blend colours by observing nature as a color palette and further refine their craft promising their products a global market, it was the aura of the character, the patience, tone and gentle frames that brought the entire scene together to gift us a piece of Art – a lesson in dialogue delivery and expressions that tied it all in. Sarwat Gilani is giving us a gripping character in Gul Mehar and the director won with quite the masterpiece here.

3. Goonj and the conversation covered in green flags
When Zarnab related her childhood phobia to Ahmed, her words, her trust in opening up to him reminded us of the safe space we share with some special people in our lives. There are many ways to say “I feel safe with you. I believe I can trust you with this.” and this was one of them – Zarnab opening up to Ahmed. And Ahmed’s response? “I’m so sorry Zarnab.” was all she needed to hear, nothing more, nothing less. Sometimes we just want someone to listen to us, not necessarily fix the problem.

4. Dear Bestie Strikes a Deal with Ayra Zayaan’s Deal Making Power Point Presentation
If Trump could finally power a deal between Zelensky and Putin, it would look like this. Up for the Nobel Peace Prize then? Well, these two were certainly up for some kind of prize when Zayaan’s parents’ expressions transitioned from alarm to curious to relief and finally, happy as the happy couple unrolled their meticulously powered Power Point presentation on how to reduce wedding costs and make it an intimate yet special occasion for both the bride and groom’s families.
Make it happen Ayra, we’re happy you could have your ahem, ‘wedding cake’ and eat it too!

5. Dear Bestie and Dadi’s Slice of Wisdom to Dania
When Dadi told Dania to stop chasing clout by aligning herself with successful influencers: “Are they perfect because they are successful, or are they successful because they are perfect?” Wow dadi, that IS quite deep actually. And then, she went on to tell Dania that everyday she wakes up and finds something new to do, whether it is trying out a new banana bread recipe or adopting a new hobby, her success lies in looking forward to trying something new every day even at this age, and enjoying the process. Whether she succeeds or fails is not the goal. Success can have many definitions Dania, do not restrict it to just one!

6. Sher Smile Moments
We loved it when our hero faked Raazdaan’s illness to catch a glimpse of Dr. Fajar. Not just that, but Sher managed to force a smile out of her, despite the serious note they had parted on earlier. The two turning back to catch a parting shot was a cute moment and helped lighten the funeral-like scenes that had preceded the moment.

7. Main Manto Nahi Hoon and Suraiya’s Sulha Nama
Suraiya signed the peace treaty but with a heavy heart. Her words rang deep as she uttered to Siraj: “It is written that Suraiya has forgiven her sons’ murderers but not that Allah has also forgiven.” Her words accompanied a flashback of the funeral scene, marking an intense moment onscreen. Suraiya’s words stayed with audiences much after the episode was over and kudos to the director and actors for delivering this one!

8. Main Manto Nahi Hoon and Farhad Delivers Another Hit
Farhad is that villain we love to watch onscreen as he goes all the way, and yet, without resorting to loud, vociferous expressions or tone. Azaan Sami Khan delivers a gripping scene as poses for a pretend photoshoot atop Mikaal’s car, daring his opponents to challenge him, then ordering his goons to thrash Manto but hold back on Mikaal. The scene was swift, well-paced with just the right dose of intensity and action – thriller Mani Manto Nahi Hoon moments are always a treat to watch!
