Fatima Feng’s is a story unlike any other.

Fatima Feng, is directed by Fahim Burney and features a stellar cast including Usama Khan, Mehar Bano, Babar Ali, Howara Batool, Munazzah Arif, Tara Mehmood, Farhan Aly Agha, Rohi Khan, Noman Kahout, Asad Choudry, Sheryar Sheikh, and Rimha Ahmed, is a must-watch drama series.

It’s a creation brought to life by Qaiser Ali, with the captivating story penned by Asma Wazir Gul. Catch the enthralling episodes of Fatima Feng every Monday to Sunday at 7 pm, exclusively on Green TV.

Fatima Feng – A Multi-Message Laden Story

You will witness a little bit of everything – a bit of mystery, a bit of spirituality and religion, business, career goals and relationships in Fatima Feng’s story.

A Chinese girl who has been living in Pakistan has become exceedingly bitter after the murder of her father, Lu Feng who meant everything to her. The story maps the tale of two families bound by friendship and business – one is Chinese and one is Pakistani. Fatima Feng takes us on a nuanced, untouched journey of how an atheist finds Islam through grief, bitterness, many questions, and an open heart. The story also touches upon relationship with fathers – Jiya’s was short lived but filled with love and adoration while Ammar’s relationship with his father Jahangir is sometimes strained, struggling to find a middle ground but also one that is wholesome with some sweet moments.

The drama, through gentle discussion and creating awareness, also counters the narrative of how all Muslims are not terrorists, how politics is used to tarnish the image of Islam and establishing the fact that terrorism has no religion. The narrative is a journey of discovering Faith. The story of an atheist’s transformation into a person of faith has been exceptionally well-executed. We have seldom seen such a theme in Pakistani dramas, and it has to be said, that Fatima’s journey has been portrayed beautifully. The drama also sheds light on children not wanting to follow in their parent’s footsteps and forging their own path. Just like Ammar who doesn’t want to run his father, Jahangir’s Power Supply business but rather, begin his own Tech start-up. It reminds us there’s nothing wrong with having one’s own dreams and goals and present generations’ increasing desire to forge their own paths.

Pakistani Dramas Going Global

Pakistani dramas are finally going trans global. There is new talent emerging, new stories involving diverse cultures! Are you thinking the same thing that crossed our minds? How is it possible for a Chinese individual to speak such fluent Urdu? Well, the lead actress portraying Fatima Feng’s character isn’t actually Chinese. Howra Batool is, in fact, a Pakistani actress!

Challenging Stereotypes

One might typically anticipate religious clerics to be portrayed with long beards in a rather stereotypical depiction. However, it’s a pleasant and refreshing surprise to witness Usman Sahib who appears quite ordinary and different than what one would expect. The writer and director have effectively demonstrated that true Muslims with unwavering faith and deep religious knowledge come in all appearances and forms.

Fatima Feng conveys the essence of our religion as a Faith of peace. While it might appear somewhat intense to some, in order to watch Jia’s journey unfold, one must approach the first episode with an open mind. Jia challenges her father’s choice to devote his life to Pakistan, leaving her in a foreign land among people who may not always speak the untarnished truth, neither to themselves nor to others. As she seeks answers to her questions, join her on her voyage of self-discovery, spirituality, and love.
