Welcome to our carefully picked 7 items from Google’s Search Trends Of The Year 2023! Here are the singers, athletes, music, movies and most popular people you all searched for and we wrote about!
Drum roll … our picks from 2023’s “Google Year In Search” list:
1. Pasoori – The Pakistani Coke Studio, Heartbreak Anthem That Made Headlines!
So, this one’s going to make us Pakistanis’ very happy, Pasoori has truly conquered the world. Ali Sethi’s heartbreak anthem was the 8th most searched song in Google’s Hum To Search category. Hum, sing, or whistle the tune of the song you’re trying to identify. Did you know the song even got its Bollywood re-make?
2. King The Land – Oh So Swoon-Worthy K-Drama Romance
Okay so this was a tough pick, given the list of the most searched dramas was full of our favorite shows for 2023, including Ginny & Georgia, Wednesday, The Glory, but for many of us it was the year of diving deeper into K-dramas and being a lover of classic K-dramas, King The Land landing the 6th spot was one to give us all the classic, swoon-worthy K romance back! Both the leads in the drama are also K-pop idols who were in the biggest K-pop groups.
3. Matthew Perry – The Friend That Left Us
Whether you are Pakistani, American or Japanese, everyone came together in remembering the wittiest, funniest friend of all. Matthew Perry or fondly known as Chandler Bing from Friends passed away on Oct 28, 2023. It led to another spike in the search for Matthew Perry himself and the classic show, Friends. Matthew Perry was the number 1 most searched amongst people who passed away in 2023. So many people started re watching friends after his passing away.
4. King Khan’s Action Hit Jawan Was The 3rd Most Searched Movie
No surprises, Barbie and Oppenheimer were the most trending movies of the year but even King Khan’s Jawan made it to the coveted 3rd spot on Google’s search trends of 2023.
5. A B-Town Actor Amongst A Flock Of Hollywood Actors! Kiara Advani Was The 9th Most Searched Actor
We don’t know if it’s amusing, unreal or just pure expected but of course, no surprises as Kiara Advani makes it to the 9th spot on the list of most searched actors according to Google search trends was surely unexpected. Bollywood actor, Kiara Advani made it amongst many big names such as Jenna Ortega, Pedro Pascal, Jamie Foxx.

6. David Beckham – The Footballer We Still Can’t Seem To Get Enough Of
Even though at the 9th spot on the list, for us David Beckham really topped the year amongst all in the people of the year list! With getting the GOAT footballer, Messi on board, for his football team Inter-Miami to his record breaking, massively loved documentary ‘Beckham’, He really made 2023 more special!
Did you know his football team Inter Miami FC even made it to the teams of the year searched for most list!
7. Jungkook – Seven – The K-Pop Idol Of BTS Turned Global Popstar’s Single
This really was the song of the summer! As the members of the mammoth K-Pop boy band BTS went on hiatus, each member released singles and solo albums. The Golden Maknae, Jungkook, debuted his first single after their hiatus, which quickly rose to the top of all global charts. So, it’s not surprising that it became the 10th most searched song on Google in 2023.
