What is Sultan’s game plan? When he knows Asra has already fallen for him, why does he keep flipping between being nice and distant with her? Did he hide her earrings on purpose, and why is he bent upon paying her the money? These and so many other questions keep us hooked to Shiddat.

Beyond The Story
On the surface, Shiddat seems to be one of many dramas that doesn’t really have anything new to offer but actually, Shiddat is tackling some very important issues. The effect of childhood trauma, impact of the relationship between husband and wife on the personality of their children and how far can one go in love to deny oneself, are some of the existing themes.
It is good to see a positive brother-bhabi bond. Absolutely love the nephew and phuppo relationship. Two more brownie points for Shiddat.
Relatable Asra
Asra’s character is relatable to many girls as we see her falling for Sultan. His behaviour, which should be a red flag, is actually becoming the reason for her attraction towards him. Belonging to a family which is extremely protective towards her, Asra is instantly attracted towards a guy who is confident, independent, and steps into the world as if he is there to win everything, every time – the opposite of what she has always seen is pulling her towards him.
Sultan’s Game Plan
How did Sultan get the earring made so quickly? Looks like he planned all this so he can get an opportunity to start a conversation with her. It is interesting and scary at the same time, how he plans every move with Asra and leaves nothing to chance. And one feels bad for Asra also, that she has no idea what she is stepping into.
Where we see Sultan as a grey or dark character, there is a slight chance that maybe, there is a reason behind his behaviour and he can change? Sultan’s character makes us wish that. Why has he captured Pari? Is he really punishing her for what she did to him in school or is he taking care of her?
