A heavy episode with multiple themes. Meenu’s struggle to control her emotions. Debating about her love for Dr. Nofil and struggling to not do anything that can tarnish her reputation, it was heartwarming to see her going through all this. It also makes you question, if a girl chooses to defy her challenges and follow her dreams, does she have to pay a price for that? Does she have to let go of her personal dreams and her inner wishes and desires.
Is it fair to impose the burden of becoming a doctor on Meenu alone and keep reminding her not to make a mistake, not to do anything to let people prevent her from achieving this goal? The very people who care for her, who are warning her, can they not guide her with care and warmth, facilitate her, so she not only becomes a doctor but also attains the love she dreams to have in her life?
Dr. Nofil’s conversation with his father, while standing on top of the tree was such a great representation of emotions so many people go through after ending one relationship. It was honest and it came from the heart. But the conversation about his character certainly did make him change his mind about acknowledging his love for Meenu. Or is it that he wants to protect Meenu?
Was it “shikwa” in Meenu’s eyes as she leaves her hiding place behind the wall and gives the medicine to Dr. Nofil. Was she hurt by Nofil’s denial of his love for her? But he never gave her any sign of it, he never promised anything, so can she really be mad at him? Your heart breaks for Meenu…
Rani’s mom questions the police officer, making us all realise the reality of the justice system and how the police really operates. The law has no power over the rich and the poor are at the complete mercy of the law.
The conversation between Maulvi sahib and Meenu, again a brilliant scene, which shows how he is also just like anyone else and has gone through many human experiences and emotions. From reminiscing about movies, to his favourite actor and heroines.
The drama highlights a great point. From maulvi sahib to Ashraf compounder, there are people around Meenu, who are there to listen to her. The most important thing for any girl is that she should be able to talk about her issues with someone more mature, someone within her family or comfort circle. Maulvi sahib kindly brings her focus back, Ashraf compounder reads everything that is in her heart and facilitates her.
