Love, misunderstandings, confusion, and a dash of tech-savvy ambition—Mismatched is back with Season 3, and we’re here for the upcoming rollercoaster ride with Rohit Saraf as Rishi and Prajakta Koli as Dimple. This Netflix show, with the perfect blend of drama, humor, heartwarming moments, as well as a realistic approach, is the perfect choice for a weekend binge-watch session. It offers comfort, chaos, and much more.
Mismatched season 3 is set to hit Netflix on 13 December 2024. Here’s what we know so far, what we can expect, and everything in between.
What To Expect In Season 3
According to our research, Season 3 picks up three years after Season 2. Yep, remember the last scene of Season 2, where a heartbroken Dimple urges a very torn Rishi to pursue his dreams? In the upcoming season, Rishi and Dimple navigate life in a new city, attending rival institutes. As they reconnect, they go through different phases, and their relationship takes a much deeper direction. It reflects on their maturity and the emotional growth they undergo.
We also hope the two—and the audience—get closure from the events in the earlier episodes. Oh, and Mismatched without the themes of ambition, heartbreak (yes, more!), and self-discovery? That’s not possible, is it? P.S. How cute is this announcement!
The Cast And Crew
Mismatched is based on Sandhya Menon’s 2017 novel ‘When Dimple Met Rishi’ and was adapted by Gazal Dhaliwal. It’s directed by Akarsh Khurana and Nipun Dharmadhikari, produced by RSVP Movies.
Other than Rohit and Prajakta, we get to see many of our favorites. Vihaan Samat reprises his role as Harsh, and we’re so excited to see him! That scene from Season 1, when he sang Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaye to a very vulnerable Dimple, comforting her, instantly stole our hearts.
We also get to see Taaruk Raina back as Anmol Malhotra, alongside Ahsaas Channa, whom we got a glimpse of in the last few episodes of Season 2. Muskkaan Jaferi, Rannvijay Singha, Abhinav Sharma, and Vidya Malavade are all set to return too.
Why We Match With Mismatched
Mismatched had our attention from the very first episode—yep, from the famous scene where Dimple splashes cold coffee over Rishi. Poor thing! But let’s be real, we’ve all wanted to do that to someone at one point. Anyways, coming back, the Netflix show’s characters and themes had us hooked. From their personal struggles, emotions, and heartbreaks to the wholesome friendships, there was something that everyone could relate to.
It’s become a comfort show for so many, perfectly capturing the trials and triumphs of the early 20s with authenticity. With December just around the corner, we finally have something exciting to look forward to, and who knows—this might just be the perfect way to end the year on a high note. Whether you’re the kind to binge it all in one go or savor each episode slowly, one thing’s for sure: we simply can’t wait!
