After taking a long hiatus from television, Madiha made a triumphant return in 2022 with the heartwarming Ramzan special Chand Tara. Currently, she’s engaging audiences once again with not one but two hit dramas, Ghair and Baby Baji Ki Bahuwain, proving that her charm and talent remain unmatched.

Madiha Iftikhar shared that the roles have improved, but there is still room for better storytelling, especially beyond typical saas-bahu dramas. She mentioned that after returning, she took on negative roles because she needed visible projects that allowed her to showcase her full acting range. She emphasized that after being away for so many years, she couldn’t afford to sit and dwell on her absence. She added that in the industry, when you’re out of sight, you’re quickly forgotten, and she had to come back with strong characters to prove her worth.

Madiha shared that returning to the industry during the COVID-19 period was challenging. She felt that as an actor, you can’t stop acting, so she reached out to her friends and asked about the current situation of the industry. She reflected on how she was now 39, and while she had expected to be offered better major roles, she realized that she wasn’t being cast in the spaces she had hoped for. She felt stuck between being too young for older roles and too old for younger ones. Despite having worked for 17-18 years, she felt that she didn’t fit into any particular category anymore. Madiha explained that acting was her passion, and after taking a break, she realized how much it bothered her mentally not to be pursuing it. Eventually, she decided to take on major roles, and her comeback with Chand Tara on HUM TV brought her significant recognition.

Madiha encouraged young girls to build their careers and have their own presence in today’s world. She shared that independence is crucial, not just as a responsibility but as a way to prepare for the future. Marriage, she explained, brings new dynamics where both partners need to support each other rather than one being a burden. She advised girls to be strong, not to dominate, but to balance strength with respect. Madiha stressed the importance of education in empowering oneself, understanding others, and staying grounded while achieving goals.
