Ammar and Sadaf’s married life takes on a dark turn, Hamsha is left all alone, yet Faraz seems to be a secret red flag, Dania has returned in a darker shade of black and Bilal Abdullah is noticeable by his absence…

Is Sunn Mere Dil about to give us more unexplained twists in the tale?
While Ammar has decided to be jealous of Bilal Abdullah, even if Sadaf mentions his name, he is fine going off to meet Dania on the quiet. Audience question: We were shown that Ammar is quite committed to Sadaf, so showing two negative character traits in him is really quite uncalled for.
- His insecurity (which we could still have relegated to Bilal Abdullah’s Mr. Wonderful personality)
- But then, sneaking out of the house repeatedly to see Dania is not on, especially since he just shared some loving moments with Sadaf.
Sunn Mere Dil needs to give us believable behaviour from characters, one that stays true to the character, else we will wonder that, other than the questionable dialogues, the story is flawed in its telling as well.
Does Faraz have revenge on his mind?
Faraz pushing Hamsha to tell him the name of the person she loves is a bit suspicious. Why does he need to know so desperately? Should we tie this behaviour to his earlier abusive streak where he had smashed an ornament in anger and is now getting obsessive about Hamsha and whoever she is in love with?
Ammar’s Toxic Side
Ammar giving attitude to Sadaf for mentioning Bilal’s name was quite strange, and also, why was he replaying Sadaf’s words at the breakfast table in his mind when we couldn’t see anything wrong with them, and also upset with her even before he heard her say Bilal Abdullah? In fact, calling Bilal’s letter a love letter was the ultimate toxic behaviour that disappointed beyond measure.
Strange Things
To top it all, why was Sadaf trying so hard to appease Ammar? This is not the Sadaf we have seen earlier, or then are we saying that marriage changes a couple’s dynamics and as Sadaf said, she will be the compromising one now “pappar bailna”, this is what we will expect. Or perhaps, Sadaf is finally really in love with Ammar, and Ammar on the other hand, just wanted to win Sadaf as a prize – once he has her, he is taking her for granted?
Oh dear, we really must play the prediction game in Sunn Mere Dil, because the story isn’t giving us reasons to explain why characters are behaving the way they are.
Marriage Advice In A Letter
Bilal Abdullah’s letter to Sadaf and Ammar was a heartfelt ode – marriage advice to be heeded by every couple. It is after all, when one is upset with our partner that things seem miserable, and spiral downward. It was also a creative way to show Bilal Abdullah’s presence and voice in an episode where he wasn’t present at all.
Dania Returns
Dania’s return was a bit of a surprise and while we could condone Ammar for not wanting to wake up Sadaf, we couldn’t quite understand why he didn’t leave her a message and then talk to her later, about why he left earlier.
Or wait a minute, why did he leave early in morning?
Is it because he wanted to meet Dania alone, or because he didn’t want to awaken Sadaf? Dania behaving in a mentally disturbed manner gave us glimpses of Michael Douglas’s and Glen Close’s ‘Fatal Attraction’ and we hope this one doesn’t get that fatal too.
However, if Ammar had no other reason to meet her other than the fact that Dania is a friend, then he should have told Sadaf. Now that she is threatening suicide (which Pakistani drama is not showing this by the way?), he understands the limit of her obsessiveness.
So, to recap, on one side, we have Faraz, and on the other, Dania – two people caged in a one-sided love – for once, Hamsha’s toxicity pales in comparison.
Bilal Abdullah was noticeable by his absence in the drama, and we hope we see a grand return, as we expect, from the leading man in Sunn Mere Dil.
