Ek Jhooti Kahani: Five Sisters, One Brother & A Whole Lot Of Trouble

Ek Jhooti Kahani
Ek Jhooti Kahani

The first episode of Ek Jhooti Kahani kicks off with Irfan (Mohib Mirza), the only brother to five mischievous, hard-to-handle sisters who’ve made it nearly impossible for any house help, or even a rishta, to stay. Every time a proposal comes Irfan’s way, the sisters scare them off with their over-the-top antics. Meanwhile, Habib Sahab (Mohammed Ahmed), the loyal caretaker of the house, is trying to manage the chaos while secretly in love and planning to marry a woman played by Uzma Baig.

On the flip side, there’s Bushra (Zara Noor Abbas), a young woman with big dreams of going to theatre school. But her father (Behroze Sabzwari) refuses to pay the fees and wants her to settle down and get married instead. Desperate, Bushra fakes getting hit by Irfan’s car to squeeze some money out of him, but the plan flops. Still, Irfan seems to have started liking her. Could this fake drama turn into something real? Let’s wait and watch!

Sher: A Tale Of Family Feuds, Betrayal, And Buried Truths

Sher
Sher

Sher follows the intense and tangled story of Sher Zaman (Danish Taimoor), the rightful heir to a powerful business empire, and Fajar (Sarah Khan), a psychology graduate. Sher is the son of Shah Zaman (YBQ) and his second wife, Tehmeena (Munazzah Arif) and works closely with his father, managing the family business. When Sher uncovers financial misconduct by his uncle Badar Zaman I(Ali Tahir) and his sons, he informs his father. While Shah Zaman refuses to confront his brother directly, he hands full authority over the business to Sher, trusting him to deal with the situation. Realizing that Sher has discovered their wrongdoing, Badar Zaman and his sons plot a car accident to kill him. However, their plan goes wrong, Shah Zaman is killed in the crash, and Sher survives but is left seriously injured. To keep him from reclaiming control, Badar and his sons secretly drugs him and has him admitted to a psychiatric facility under false pretenses. As per Shah Zaman’s will, if Sher dies, his inheritance goes to a trust, not the corrupt relatives, so they keep him alive, but mentally incapacitated.

In the present, Fajar (Sarah Khan), a psychology graduate with a painful past tied to Sher’s cousin, starts working at the same clinic where Sher is held. Recognizing him and uncovering the truth behind his condition, Fajar decides to help. Despite the enmity between their families, she contacts Sher’s aunt (Sunita Marshall) for support and asks her to convince Tehmeena (Sher’s mother) of the foul play. Meanwhile, Sher’s former fiancée Rida (Noreen Gulwani) calls off their engagement after sensing Sher and Fajar’s growing connection. With Fajar’s help, Sher begins to realize he’s being drugged and agrees to cooperate to regain his freedom. As the truth slowly unravels, Sher is ready to reclaim his life, and confront the family that tried to destroy him.

Goonj: Workplace Harassment, Female Struggles, And A Supportive Single Dad

Goonj
Goonj

Goonj begins with Zarnab (Komal Meer) recording an emotional video message for her father. After that, the story goes back six months to show how everything led up to that moment.

It follows the lives of three sisters, Zarnab (Komal Meer), Nazish (Michelle Mumtaz), and their youngest sibling, raised by a loving, hands-on single father (Khaled Anam). Zarnab works at a creative agency where she faces constant pushback from a competitive male colleague (Gohar Rasheed), who believes her success is based on gender, not talent. Things shift when Ahmed (Feroz Kadri) joins the agency and takes a liking to her, adding a new layer to the office dynamics. Meanwhile, Nazish, a lawyer, navigates a growing connection with her boss (Ali Safina), a divorced man with a daughter, something her father handles with support and grace.

What makes Goonj stand out is its subtle portrayal of everyday challenges women face, be it in the workplace, relationships, or something as simple as playing sports in school. Yet, the heart of the drama lies in its warm, emotionally present father who trusts his daughters and allows them to find their own way. The drama stays grounded, avoiding preachy tones while delivering strong performances, clean visuals, and thoughtful character arcs. This one’s definitely on our watchlist and we’d recommend catching up as the new drama season delivers brand new stories.

Mohra: A Sister’s Betrayal. A Woman’s Revenge.

Mohra: Missed The First 6 Episodes? Here’s A Quick Story Recap For You!
Mohra

Mohra follows the story of two sisters, Alizay (Laiba Khan) and Anooshay (Syeda Tuba Anwar), raised by their single mother. Though both are smart and grounded, their personalities couldn’t be more different, Alizay is confident and assertive, while Anooshay is trusting and soft-hearted. Their lives take a turn when Anooshay crosses paths with Sikandar (Aagha Ali), an arrogant, impulsive rich boy who becomes obsessed with her after she slaps him during a confrontation. Fueled by revenge, Sikandar pretends to fall in love with her, stages a fake rescue from hired goons, and manipulates her into a secret marriage. But the very next morning, he reveals it was all part of his cruel plan, he insults her, divorces her on the spot, and throws her out, leaving Anooshay broken.

As Anooshay reels from the betrayal, Alizay is ready to fight back. With her engagement to her longtime admirer Hannan finally moving forward, Alizay is determined not to let her sister’s pain go unanswered. While Mohra leans into familiar tropes, it keeps viewers engaged through steady storytelling, layered characters, and emotional stakes that feel real. It’s a story of trust, betrayal, and how one sister’s strength may just be the key to justice.

Do Kinaray: A Selfish Choice, A Shattered Family, And Regret That Came Too Late

Do Kinaray
Do Kinaray

Do Kinarey tells the story of Durreshahwar (Momina Iqbal), a self-centered woman who always puts her desires above everyone else’s. Initially in a relationship with Shaheer, her university friend’s brother, she is left heartbroken when his upper-class family rejects her for being from a middle-class background. On the other side is Waleed (Junaid Khan), a kind-hearted man with asthma, whose sisters struggle to find him a suitable match. Despite his health condition and having three step-siblings he lovingly cares for, Waleed ends up marrying Durreshahwar. She, however, refuses to accept or support his illness. The two have a daughter, Dua, who also suffers from asthma, something Durreshahwar is unwilling to emotionally confront.

As time passes, Shaheer reappears in Durreshahwar’s life and persuades her to leave Waleed. Though hesitant at first, she eventually takes divorce from Waleed, abandons her daughter, and marries Shaheer. But Shaheer, previously married, barely gives Durreshahwar attention and hides the fact that he already has a son. Meanwhile, Waleed finds peace with Mawra, a loving woman who treats Dua as her own. Durreshahwar, now facing emotional neglect, longs to have a child with Shaheer, but he’s hesitant and secretive, deepening her regret. Her pursuit of selfish desires cost her everything, her marriage, her child, and the peace she once took for granted.
