Ahmer Hussain shares his Tamasha experience in an exclusive interview with FUCHSIA.

Ahmer Hussain is a model, theatre artist, and TV actor. We’ve seen him in Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet, Guru, Aakhiri Baar, and more. He was one of the contestants often called the most “sane” by the public in Tamasha house, known for his logical thinking and level-headed approach. If you’d like to know about his Tamasha journey and what he has to say about his fellow contestants, scroll down!
How Did Ahmer Hussain Get The Call For Tamasha Season 4?
Ahmer Hussain revealed that his journey to Tamasha was completely unexpected. It all started when he was working on the drama Aakhri Baar with Adnan Siddiqui. On the very first day at the set, Siddiqui casually asked him if he would consider doing Tamasha. Ahmer didn’t give it much thought at the time, and after the shoot, both went their separate ways. It wasn’t until the Tamasha promos started airing that the idea clicked, and he received a call from Omi Butt encouraging him to give it a try.
To secure his spot, Ahmer made a two-minute reel highlighting his acting and singing abilities, even including clips from his past work. After an initial interview and meeting with the producers, he didn’t make it. Then, just three hours before the show was set to start, he got the call to join. Ahmer described the suddenness of it all:
“I am the only contestant who went in 3 hours before the show. Without any preparation, I didn’t look back for past seasons to see what happens there. I thought, whatever happens, God is there.”

Despite the whirlwind entry, Ahmer stayed in the house for six weeks. Reflecting on his experience, he said, “I was doing it. I was playing myself.”
Does Editing Shape How Contestants Are Perceived?
Ahmer shared that editing definitely plays a role in how viewers perceive the contestants. He recalled that during the first few weeks, Saif often got into arguments at home, especially with the girls, which gave him a negative impression among the housemates, though not necessarily with the audience. Even though Saif would later calm down and show respect, those early fights shaped how the other contestants saw him. Inside the house, however, dynamics kept shifting – one day two people could be at odds, and the next they might be teammates during a task, forcing them to talk and work together again.
When Ahmer eventually saw social media reactions, he noticed how Saif’s outbursts were highlighted, sometimes even turned into slow-motion clips and fan edits. Saif was being loved by the audience, and Ahmer pointed out that this was simply part of how the game and audience engagement worked. As he explained, mea
“If I’m the owner and I’ve gathered 18 people there, I’ll look for where the entertainment and the spice are coming from, and I’ll try my best to edit and show only that. So it means Saif was entertaining.”

According to Ahmer, this meant that Saif’s heated moments were showcased because they brought entertainment.
Who Is That One Contestant Whose Real Self Differs From How The Audience Sees Them?
Speaking about the housemates, Ahmer admitted,
“One contestant I was the most confused about was Malaika.”

He explained that when Malaika first entered the house, she shared her life story, opening up about the struggles she had faced. But as the days went by, she kept adding new details or slightly changing parts of it – one day mentioning a certain age, and on another day saying something different. Ahmer said he isn’t being negative, but it left him curious and wanting to ask her about it once the show was over.
