2. Sajal Aly as Rabeeya in Zanjeerain
Sajal when she smiles at Sar Buland’s lame jokes despite the pressure of the situation they’re both in. When Rabeeya shifts into thriller mode and instructs Gul Zaman to turn off the electricity. Both moods of Rabeeya are amazing to watch. One, natural and heartfelt, and the other, determined and present! Well done Sajal, you’re winning hearts!
3. Ahad Raza Mir as Haroon in Aik Mohabbat Aur
Haroon when he makes us smile at his love-smitten expressions for Khushbakht, when turns to talk to us and when he says something that strikes a deeper chord. Calmly and masterfully, Ahad Raza Mir has slipped int character Haroon is surely growing on us.
4. Maya Ali as Khushbakht in Aik Mohabbat Aur
Maya as Khushbakht plays both ends of the performance spectrum with great skill: as the calm, thoughtful young mother who treads carefully and guards her emotions, and then shifting to reveal a flood of emotions as she realizes she might have just lost Haroon – beautiful interplay of expression, tone and mood that stayed with audiences throughout the week.
5. Zoya Nasir as Shehreen in Bas Tera Saath Ho
Zoya Nasir balances the defiant confidence of Shehreen with an inner confusion as she battles the two faces of Fahaam. She strikes a meaningful balances between the girl who wants it all and yet, exercises her boundaries. Very subtly played Zoya, we love the way you essay Shehreen.
6. Haris Waheed as Shayan in Bas Tera Saath Ho
Haris Waheed shows us once more that he can play a negative role with an original twist. It’s never the same old. Despite his dark intentions, Shayan continues to entertain audiences who want him to pay for his deeds and yet, enjoy his onscreen presence.
