Why was the jirga talking about everything except the main issue?
How come they were completely fine with Sarbuland’s story and didn’t ask for any proof?
Zanjeerain impressed us with its high-quality content in the beginning, but the wedding twist was handled in a disappointing and manipulative way.
The jirga’s decision to marry off Rabeeya to Sarbuland seems to have backfired on Sarbuland’s enemies—so is this supposed to be a win for Rabeeya and Sarbuland? What about asking Rabeeya, an independent adult, who has the legal and moral right to decide whom she marries? This decision was forced upon her without her consent, creating a very damaging plotline in a country where jirga decisions often supersede court rulings and the woman whose life is directly affected has no right to refuse.
If they are addressing non-mahram women living in the haveli, why not include all of them—including Shirin? Why is she allowed to live in the haveli unmarried?
Lastly, why not contact Rabeeya’s mamoo, her rightful guardian, if a decision about her marriage has to be made?
Note to Jirga elders: You need a much tighter game plan than the charade we witnessed in the latest episode.
