It was an engaging episode when Anas and Ansa came together once more, this time enjoying some light moments away from the tense family shenanigans – some toxic and some pretty intense moments were erased as they took the bus to college and shared spontaneous childhood memories. Here are the highlights from last night’s episode 27.
1. When dada discovered a brand new world
Ansa introducing Dada to the world of “work from home”: Dada, welcome to our world! This was an amusing moment as Ansa broke down the concept to dada, who looked visibly puzzled and did not entirely buy Ansa’s explanation about working from home. Is that even possible? Yes dada, tis’ 2026, anything is possible!
2. What childhood memories are made of
Ansa and Anas reciting “Karachi Ki Bus Mein Safar Ho Raha Hai”: So wholesome and utterly delightful.
If you know you know, if not, the poem was still equally endearing to hear. Some might have read it in school text books, and those who didn’t, possibly experienced it on the bumpy roads of a city whose buses carry thousands across its battered yet much loved streets, the experience stays with you and Syed Zameer Jafri’s humourous poetry captured it all for the many who smile knowingly as they recall his words – a treat for bas Tera Saath Ho audiences.
3. Wait, what? Fish Faham?
Shayan saying “Fish Faham”: making it sound like a meaningless Gen Z phrase, but it still made us laugh out loud.
Why don’t you add 6-7, Skibidi Toilet and the whole gen Z dictionary Shayan, you seem to be right up there with the lingo and possibly, the one time we laughed out loud at an absolutely sensless phrase that we absolutely cannot ‘unhear’ now!
4. Anas still not able to reveal his disappointment
Anas “Anasing” at his best: Telling Dada and Ansa that he doesn’t need a car, his Taya’s help, or anything else in life, really.
Where Ansa is the wake up call in his life, Anas still needs time to process the way he has been treated. It is possibly Ansa who is making him realize that he got a bad deal in life, teh short end of teh stick, as they call it. We hope he rises eventually, we understand his slow awakening but it’s about time audiences want to see the real Anas step up to the occasion. Slow and steady, it will happen soon, fingers crossed.
5. Ansa doing what Ansa does best
Ansa “Ansa-ing” at her best: Telling Anas “Agar mein number dene pai aaon na, tau tumhaare Taya…?” Stopped mid-sentence by Anas. Matlab kyun?
Ansa is known not to hold back when something needs to be called out and that’s exactly what she did, except Anas, the ever cautious, respectful Anas stopped her mid-sentence. But we still love the vibe that is Ansa, despite living a harsh reality, she manages to find humour in every situation.
6. Shehreen gets a dose of Faham
Shehreen waking up to the complex reality of in-law relationships: As Faham gives her family the classic desi son-in-law treatment.
You’re handing it to him in a platter Shehreen. When Shehreen insisted on calling Faham, we predicted teh outcome in our heads, but was it satisfying to hear? faham gives full-on attitide to Shehreen as she struggles to show a brave face, first in front of her friends, and now, her family. This is only going to get better, or worse, Shehreen, watch out what you ask for, Faham is not about to deliver!
7. Shayan’s brand new office and a car to match
Mursaleen better watch out. have you no idea what your son is capable of? You just handed him the key to unlock the next level in the game of life but Shayan never really played fair in the previous levels. With all this power and authority, Shayan can wreak havoc and no one to stop him! Which means, you’re in for a shocker and soon. And of course, who will you turn to when things get messy?
