From making dubsmash videos to becoming one of the leading actresses of Pakistan, Hania Aamir has made a name for herself in a short time. Her journey is inspirational for many. Currently, she is seen in the record-breaking drama ‘Mere Humsafar’ as ‘Hala’. She started her career as an actress in the 2016 film ‘Janaan‘. Since then, she hasn’t looked back and has been a part of projects including ‘Na Maloom Afraad 2‘, ‘Parwaaz Hay Junoon‘, ‘Ishqiya’, and ‘Sang e Mah’.
She recently sat down for an interview with Rabia Mughni of FUCHSIA Magazine and talked about her career, personal growth, her beliefs, and her take on life. Read more to find out what she had to say!
Her Ideologies And Beliefs
Hania believes life is too short and you never know who you are meeting for the last time. So, always do the right thing, say the right thing, and respect everybody.
“When I die I don’t want people to remember me as an actor instead I want them to say that she was sweet, she was respectful and we had the best time.”

Hania also added that she doesn’t judge others and always tries to find an explanation for someone’s actions.
Her advice for everyone is:
“Never let the goodness die in you, never trust anyone blindly, don’t give up too soon, work really hard until your work speaks for itself and even if someone has hurt you don’t take it to your heart.”

Social Media And Personal Space
Hania has remained in the news time and again but not always for the right reasons. She did not shy away from acknowledging that and talked about how she has evolved as a person.
She shared her experience of how people used to tell her how to sit and how to talk and eventually that made her doubt herself.

About Her Personal Life And Friends In The Industry:
It took Hania a while to make friends in the industry and she put in the effort to do so as she was a newcomer and nobody knew her. She says she has established a close-knit circle of friends and there are a few people she can open up to.
“Relationships and friends are very fragile in the industry.”

Hania also touched upon her relationship with her mother and said they are like friends. They are used to having mature discussions but also share a light-hearted relationship where Hania can joke with her mother and enjoys a friendly bond.
“I call my mother, sister, and best friend Izzah before a flight. They are very important to me. If either of them tells me I am doing something wrong, I would sit back and give it a thought.”

Fun fact! Hania has her mother’s bridal lehnga which she wishes to wear on one of her wedding functions!
Her Take On Relationships, Love And Marriage:
Hania talked about not having a father figure in her life for a long time because of which she learned to take care of herself. She also mentioned that at one point she thought that she will never settle down, however, according to her ‘that has never stopped her from loving openly’ and that she has ‘loved and lost.’ She also mentioned that she likes to give surprises and pamper her significant other. She believes that you should always demand respect and not sell yourself short in a relationship.
Therapy:
Hania also talked about therapy and mentioned that if one feels like they are falling for certain patterns in their life such as going into abusive relationships repeatedly then they should take the first step and try therapy. It will help them find the root of the problem and is a step towards helping one’s self.
She shared her own experience with therapy and added that she became a ‘people pleaser’ and also found it difficult to be dependent on another person. She would occasionally feel anxious and sad without any reason and thus decided that she needs to do something about it.
“When there are so many pata nahis then you want answers. I became a people pleaser.”

According to Hania, Hala’s character has gone through immense character growth and I think all of us can vouch for that! From not standing up for herself to finding a voice, Hala has evolved.

“I had such a bad experience with Twitter that when I saw the notifications on my phone I didn’t open them and I asked my friends that did I do something wrong. But I was so surprised and happy to be trending because of my drama and for the right reasons.”
