Though the last minute dulha switch and Taqi gracefully making way for Mustajab was very Bollywood style, the execution was so beautiful that we still loved it and felt “kuch kuch hota hai “ in our hearts.
Mustajab couldn’t bring himself to marry Dua despite desperately wanting to. This reluctance invoked so much respect & heartfelt emotions for Mustajab’s character. His respect for his pledge to Allah was just so endearing.

Dear Maha jee, take a bow for giving us thought provoking dialogues – you delivered a sensible, realistic and balanced message. You restored our yaqeen in Allah’s mercy & gave hope and himmat to many to tread the right path despite challenges.
Appreciation for Aehsun Talish for beautifully directing & executing this scene, with minute details e.g. how Mustajab straightened the ja namaz, not exaggerating this scene and emotions, yet communicating so many messages effectively without losing the main story line.
Feroze Khan – what a poignant portrayal of Mustajab’s transition & the calmness and strength that he now exudes. Feroze has done an amazing job & made a permanent place for Mustajab in our hearts.
Sana Javed portrayed Dua’s emotions with dignity – a girl who sacrificed one of her most significant relationships for Allah and now, is razi in his raza. The fact that Dua never let her emotions control her decisions despite being in pain and without unnecessary melodrama, delivered a message of strength and dignity to so many women in similar situations.
Finally, a big shout out to Daniyal Afzal for playing Taqi. Taqi jee aap ki izzat aur barh gai humaray dil mein. It was with a heart touching poise & grace that Daniyal played Taqi & he won many hearts with his actions.
