Here’s a list of actors who impressed us with their performances this week – Sajal Aly, Danyal Zafar and more!

1. Anayah Shahid as Shirin in Zanjeerain
Anayah just hit a six with her expressions, tone, and over all body language. The scene when she holds up the necklace before the mirror was hypnotic – you couldn’t draw your eyes away from the screen – her intense expressions revealed volumes despite not uttering a single dialogue. Well performed Anayah, we were totally absorbed in the moment.
2. Sajal Aly as Rabeeya in Zanjeerain
Sajal performs grief like no other. When Rabeeya broke down over the phone call with her mammoo and Tayyab, it was, once again, a heartbreaking moment. When her voice failed her, the expressions and eyes took over – a master performance once more Sajal, well done!
3. Danyal Zafar as Sar Buland in Zanjeerain
Danyal portrayed the utter devastation of a younger brother who came face to face with his worst nightmare. The flashback scene of Sher Dil‘s murder and Sar Buland’s heartbreaking cries brought back the unimaginable pain he experienced upon seeing his brother’s dead body. Danyal portrayed Sar Buland’s grief all over again, not silent this time, but intense and soul torturing.
4. Farhan Saeed as Anas in Bas Tera Saath Ho
Farhan Saeed brought back a memorable scene in an entirely heartfelt depiction – Anas proposing to Ansa in the mosque. From breaking down upon finally finding her safe and sound, to preempting her refusal, his dialogue delivery and body language was measured, impactful and struck just the right emotional chord in audiences. Well performed Farhan, we felt the intensity in every moment.
5. Kinza Hashmi as Rubab in Leader
Kinza delivered the pivotal point in Rubab’s character as she finally shifts to the personality we knew she would eventually become. But what mattered was the believability of the transition; her emotional video incriminating Mansoor, and then the sudden change – the vacant expression, almost robotic stance when she addresses her father, nailed the shift. Well done Kinza!
