Zanjeerain keeps audiences engaged as the drama weaves hidden clues into the storytelling, peeling back the layers ever so slowly to make one wonder – is everything as it really seems, or is the writer one step ahead of our guessing game – yet again!

5 moments in the episode that dropped a clue to future reveals
All eyes on Sohrab
He’s certainly not what he seems. The way he was teaching his son archery, marking the spot, that intense gaze, the thrill of a quiet win, the scene wasn’t just about a father teaching a son how to aim an arrow – did y’all remember when Sar Buland was at the graveyard and an arrow escaped him? Symbolic that!
P.S. Don’t miss the way he calls his son ‘Sardar Omar Daraz’ – yeah, there was an undeniable ring to that one!
All eyes on Shirin AND Sohrab!
If Sohrab is our marksman, Shirin is the prize he’s already won – albeit a hidden one. These two have something cooking and we think it’s about to come to a head. The manner in which Shirin eyed Noor’s necklace, Sohrab’s disinterested expressions with Noor, and Shirin’s dodgy ones point to something more between these two. And their teamwork might just extend beyond an intimate relationship. Move on to point next for more.
Zafraan Khan’s discovery
Someone other than Torsam is behind Sher Dil’s death. And now, let’s put two and two together – the slow poisoning at home, Shirin’s suspicious glances and then, the final blast – someone from within the family is involved and yes, it could, after all, only be Sohrab, who has his eyes on the Sardari, and was working in cahoots with Shirin to perhaps poison Sher Dil and once that was found out, the blast wrapped it up neatly – especially when Torsam was there to take the fall.
More on that? Note how Sohrab was visibly enraged on why Sar Buland did not act instantly and killl off Torsam for Sher Dil’s murder.
Was Sher Bano in on any part of the conspiracy?
That’s a hard one to swallow. Seeing Sher ban has certainly endeared herself to audiences. She is tending to Rabeeya, trusting Sar Buland, but also, never really expected Sar Buland to take over the Sardari. She was looking forward to her fairytale happily ever after with Sar Buland in a promised land, far away from the haveli life. Was this because she expected Sohrab to take over instead of Sar Buland?
Sher Bano is in love with Sar Buland. But her love also carries a shade of possessiveness – she wants Sir Buland all to herself and that dear folks, is not happening as long as he’s wearing the eight of the Sardari on his shoulders.
Will Zafraan Khan’s niece reval what she heard to Torsam, or better still, Sar Buland?
Now that Zafraan’s niece has overheard that Torsam is in fact, not responsible for Sher Dil’s murder, will she try and save him? But that being said, one has to remember that even though Torsam did not take Sher Dil’s life, he did kill Mudassir, a dear friend of Sar Buland’s. Hence Torsam is a marked man either way, if not for one, then for the other murder.
And that’s why Zanjeerain has audiences invested. The story never fails to surprise, shock or turn a new page to reveal the many conspiracies afoot. Can Sar Buland come to the root of it all? There are no signs that he suspects Sohrab for now, but all that might change soon.
P.S. we haven’t forgotten the way Sohrab spoke to Rabeeya – there’s a story there too because, if you haven’t realized yet, nothing happens in Zanjeerain without meaning. When the time is right.
