1. Nauman Ijaz as Behroze in Parizaad
Nauman Jee, aap toh haar mein bhi baazi legaye!
The request to change your clothes, the unsteady walk, the painful expressions before you pulled the trigger, all came together to make us feel your pain. You are the villain who’s the deepest shade of grey we’ve seen!
2. Ahmed Ali Akbar in Parizaad
When Parizaad took the entire blame of the killings, it was an incredibly poignant moment. Ahmed Ali Akbar’s tormented expression, his complete defeat was mimicked in his posture, eyes and tone. You proved your loyalty without doubt & stunned Badar Munir as well as your audience into complete silence.
3. Bilal Abbas Khan as Mahir in Dobara
Mahir asking his mother for some time, Mahir eyeing the gold ornaments, Mahir bringing water for his dad, Mahir being rejected at the job interview & Mahir trying desperately to complete his love story. We sway along with you in every mood, we sympathize with you, we feel your pain. Bilal Abbas Khan you have made us fall for Mahir – the very unconventional hero!
4. Hadiqa Kiani as Mehru in Dobara
The sense of being free, reborn & yet, aware of her actions – Hadiqa has made Mehru so real & relatable. We are in love with her story & intrigued to see what comes next.
5. Maheen Siddiqui as Minal in Dobara
Minal as the supportive daughter, aware of her mother’s choti choti khushiyan, taking a stand for her – Maheen is playing the role very believably!
6. Azaan Sami Khan in Ishq e Laa
Azaan is making us detest Azlan. His anger management issues, disregard, arrogance & undue anger at Azka make us want to shake him! Well done Azaan, you have nailed it!
7. Yumna Zaidi as Azka in Ishq e Laa
Yumna aced Azka’s nervousness, her anger, sense of humiliation, & her self respect when she stood up for herself before Azlan’s friend. Yumna you are a bundle of emotions in every episode & we feel for you every time!
8. Sajal Aly as Shanaya in Ishq E Laa
Shanaya’s courage, determination & persistence to unveil the truth, & then her gentle, tempered reactions to Azlan even when she doesn’t agree with him, show us 2 aspects of a strong young girl – Sajal you have made Shanaya both inspirational & relatable in one character!
9. Sohail Sumeer as Sultan in Ishq E Laa
Sohail delivers a range of expressions, from soft-gentle towards Azka to suspicious & controlled towards his wife. It is a joy to watch such heartfelt positive male roles who are trying to keep the peace within the household & Sohail has slipped totally into character
10. Usman Mukhtar as Aswad in Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay
Aswad weeping before the nikah, glaring at Mehreen, telling her she thinks she’s beautiful – oh the sinister wrath is depicted on point – we are not liking you one bit Aswad & that’s how well you’ve aced it Usman!
11. Srha Asgr as Fajar in Aakhir Kab Tak
Srha makes the change from feeling confident with Saim to feeling terrorized with Zafar in one instance. Her body language expresses a million emotions through the screen – her tone changing immediately. Well done Srha, you have portrayed the emotions of many young girls who can relate to what you are feeling as Fajar
12. Mahira Khan as Mehreen in HKKST
Mehreen sitting on the bed after Nikah, awaiting her sentence, Mehreen tearing off her teeka and dupatta, Mahira your pain reflected in your expressions, especially when Saffan turned against you too. It is very hard to convey emotions with minimum dialogue & Mahira did it with a grace that is Mehreen!
13. Haroon Shahid as Saim in Aakhir Kab Tak
Patient, gentle & mature. These are the emotions Saim conveys onscreen and Haroon Shahid is acing them. His positivity is giving Pakistani men real husband goals!
