Aye Ishq E Junoon, we have some questions. Dear readers, give us some answers, your best predictions to help us unravel the mysteries.

Oh dear, the story is moving at crawl pace, and much as we love the performances – Rahim’s utter helplessness yet courage to stand alone with a fighting spirit, and ready to take on the world, the story has already established most of what we saw in the previous episodes so ideally, we could have moved forward with the narrative this week.
Rahim’s father and his gullibility
Rahim’s father still confused about his son’s involvement in the rape and/or murder case of Aimen doesn’t make sense as he knows his son better than that. Why is he such a broken man? The story does not give us reasons enough to believe that he should be so naïve in trusting his wife and Shehroze’s words (who has always been shady), against Rahim – the upright, honest son.
Maheen’s fashion statement in jail
Maheen’s attention to fashion detail when visiting the jail premises only to tell off Rahim, did not make us sympathize with her or Rahim, because we were busy noting her shades and scarf – very vintage and very chic.
Jamaal being Jamaal
Jamaal’s ploy to get police protection was just so lame and repetitive behaviour – he can be cunning and evil, we get it, but the police protection demand was simply inane, to put it simply. Why would the drama undermine its character with unreasonably ridiculous actions.
Farooq’s Dilemma
While Farooq’s predicament is understandable. He is genuinely stuck between his sister and Rahim, wanting to choose to do good, but held down by familial ties and guilt, but he needs to act soon. The delayed response time is certainly frustrating to watch. If anything, why has he not investigated on the IP address that posted Rahim and Aimen’s video even after watching the entire footage.
Also, what is the point of investigating Jamaal when he already knows the truth about the case or is he wrongfully planning to incriminate Jamaal and save both his nephews – win, win for him. What if #justiceforAimen just received another heavy blow? That’s not his problem, Mr. Lawyer, last we checked, he was in the profession, or maybe, the drama wants to get ‘real’atable?
Afia’s unwavering purpose
If anyone is acing her game, it is Afia. She is dead bent on saving her son. And despite all her lies and deceit, at least her character has stayed on the same dark path. She is now planning to fly Shehroze out of the country. If anyone messes with her plans, it will probably be Shehroze himself, who refuses to leave now.
Questions
Do you think Shehroze is justified in saying that he will appear guilty if he leaves, or should he really save himself by fleeing the country, as when Aimen recovers her memory, which she will eventually – Shehroze is cooked like burnt bar b que– in Gen Z terms!
What will Rahim do next? And will Farooq help him? Does the policeman also have a sixth sense that something is not right? And could someone not check into why Aimen’s medication is not helping her recover?
The drama is penned by Sadia Akhtar and directed by Qasim Ali Mureed. It is a project of Six Sigma Productions.
