The pain of the Pakistan Cricket Team not reaching the finals will linger on for a bit longer but, we are extremely proud of our team for performing brilliantly throughout the T20 World Cup tournament. They stood unbeaten in every match they played before the semi-final and thrashed strong teams like India and New Zealand. We think that the current Pakistan Cricket Team is one of the strongest teams we have had, of course, there is always room for improvement but the players’ love and determination towards the sport knows no bounds!

This time, the team actually had a strategy and did not stay true to its “unpredictable” label. This is also the reason why the fan reaction to Pakistan’s loss in the semi-final was mature. Our players were (and still are) showered with love and support instead of being bashed or trolled because every Pakistani cricket fan knows that our team went down fighting. People had nothing but kind and encouraging words for our players and it was all so wholesome to witness!

However, It was heartbreaking to see little children crying in the stadium after Pakistan’s loss. Many videos of little children also surfaced on social media who were devastated after the match.

An 8-year-old fan named Muhammad Haroon Suria, wrote a heartfelt letter for Babar Azam and it was posted on Twitter. The little boy wrote, “InshaAllah in the future I will be captain and I will make sure to invite your team to my team, we will go to finals and win.” The boy also requested Babar Azam to send him signatures from every player on the team. Adorable, isn’t it?

Babar Azam thought so too and retweeted the little boy’s letter. He responded to the future captain’s letter in the cutest way! The Pakistani skipper wrote, “Dear Mohammad Haroon Suria, Salam, Thank you for such a kind letter for us, champion. I ABSOLUTELY believe in you and you can achieve anything with your focus, belief, and hard work. You will get your autographs but I cant wait to get YOUR autograph future Captain.” Too cute!

“Babar Azam is not only breaking records and winning matches, but he has inspired a whole new generation of Pakistan. This man is born to change the genes of our cricket. Pakistan cricket needed oxygen and we got it in 2015 in shape of YOU, MY CAPTAIN.”

Win or lose, the Pakistan Cricket Team has definitely won our hearts for years to come. Its performance made watching T20 World Cup much more exciting and enjoyable. I guess in the end we would just like to say – tum jeeto ya haaro, hamain tumse pyaar hai!

Why Is Muhammad Rizwan Still Winning Hearts Well After The Semi Final Is Done & Dusted?
