Unpacking The Behroopia Teaser
When it comes to storytelling, nothing connects quite like real-life experiences. Behroopia is an upcoming drama from Green Entertainment that is set to explore a heavy but signicifcant theme: childhood trauma. This topic touches many lives yet often remains muted. Childhood trauma can arise from various sources—abuse, neglect, or the loss of a loved one—and it can have a lasting impact on mental health. Many individuals carry the weight of these experiences into adulthood, affecting their relationships and self-image. When dramas choose to address these difficult subjects, they have the potential to not only entertain but also provide comfort and validation to viewers who may be dealing with similar struggles.
The story of Behroopia focuses on a child who faces physical, mental, and emotional abuse from his stepfather (played by Tauseeq Haider). This kind of abuse can leave deep emotional scars, shaping how the child views the world. As he grows up, this child, now portrayed by Faysal Quraishi, struggles with feelings of anger and hatred. Childhood trauma can sometimes lead to personality disorders, Behroopia has shed light upon the challenges faced by a victim of childhood abuse. Faysal Quraishi is set to portray a character affected by a personality disorder, showcasing the struggles that arise from such experiences. In fact, he will take on nine different personalities throughout the drama, showing the complex ways that childhood trauma can shape an individual’s life and identity.
As for Madiha Imam, the teaser leaves us curious about her role. While we don’t have much information about her character yet, there’s hope that she will emerge as a beacon of support for Faysal Quraishi’s character. Could she be the guiding light that helps him confront his chaotic and haunting past? Or will she fall prey to his struggles? The possibilities are endless, and we’re waiting to see how her character unfolds.
Addressing such issues is vital in today’s society, where many people struggle silently. When dramas like Behroopia highlight issues that are present, yet largely unaddressed in our society, they spark conversations and encourage viewers to reflect on their own experiences. The narrative might remind us that it’s okay to seek help and that healing is possible, and that’s it’s important to initiate the journey.
Here’s What Faysal Quraishi And Madiha Imam Has To Say About Behroopia
On Green Entertainment’s Eid special show, Madiha Imam and Faysal Quraishi talked about their upcoming project, Behroopia. The show was hosted by Rabia Anum and Danish Taimoor.
“The drama was really tough — it has a huge cast. In our country, people don’t consider psychological issues as real issues. The story is based on how a person gets caught between psychological struggles, depression, and trauma. When I read the script for the first time, I was like,”ye mere ilawa koi nahi karega, ye mein hi karunga.”
Faysal Quraishi
Madiha Imam shared her experience of working with Faysal Quraishi and talked about much more during the conversation.
“Working with Faysal, of course, is always a treat. When I read the script, I discussed it with my director, saying that I didn’t have much to do — I was just reacting. But then I realized, no, I’m reacting to the same person, but he’s playing nine different characters, so the reaction can’t be the same every time. When we talk about a good script, we don’t always choose scripts just for ourselves — we also consider whether society needs such a story. So, keeping that in mind, I was like, wow!”
