And so Bikhre Moti comes to an end – an ending that was justifiably not the happiest, but perhaps, made rational sense, and of course, made us wish, and wish, and wish – the happily ever after for Ahad & Ayeza never came, but understandably so.
Ahad & Ayeza’s journey wasn’t meant to be together after all. And though we might have shed a tear, though our hearts wanted beyond all reason, for them to be together, we knew in our heart of hearts that it wasn’t right for Ayeza to leave the children now.
Farz aur Mohabbat mein jeet hamesha farz ki hoti hai.
Writer Edison Idrees nay humein bhi barey pyaar se behlaane ki koshish ki…because he knew our hearts desperately wanted them to be together.

We felt your pain Ahad & the tears flowed freely.
Ayeza you won hearts in every episode but last week, you taught us that duty, commitment & sacrifice require great courage. A big round of applause to Neelam Muneer for breathing life into a character that was the pivot point for the entire drama.
Possible Happy Ending?
Many felt that Zulfi could have died, leaving Ahad & Ayeza to come together with the children. Many felt she should have left Zulfi as she had paid her dues, fulfilled her responsibilities and deserved happiness eventually!
Yet, Ayeza seemed to have an answer for all our prayers. Children without a father might grow up to always feel deprived. No one can take a parent’s place, and also, Zulfi’s rehabilitation had just begun. Ayeza’s sense of duty and commitment rose above and beyond – also, the unfulfilled love story, (from a script writer’s point of view), might just strike the right balance between reality and dream. After all, both Ayeza and Ahad carried so much wholesomeness and goodness within them, that a dose of reality was necessary to balance the equation. That dose, unfortunately meant, they had to part ways – the tragedy that we will have to live with!
Also, the entire premise of the drama, keeping the children as the crux of the story, might have collapsed inwards if they were eventually seen to be neglected towards the end.
Compromise?
Some ventured that perhaps they could have fast-forwarded the timeline and shown that eventually, Zulfi passed away, (after spending time with the children & Ayeza), leaving Ayeza and the children free to be with Ahad.
Oh well, we can’t have our cake and eat it too, lekin khayal bura nahi, what say you?
