Coke Studio Season 15 releases its ninth song, “Piya Piya Calling”, a celebration of global sound featuring both international and Pakistani creatives and artists, including Amanda Delara, Karpe, Quick Style and Kaifi Khalil.

“Piya Piya Calling” features Pakistan’s own soulful singer-songwriter Kaifi Khalil, along with the captivating vocals of Norwegian artist Amanda Delara, the dynamic duo of Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid and Chirag Rashmikant Patel from Karpe, and the electrifying dance moves of Norwegian dance troupe Quick Style, led by Suleman Malik, Bilal Malik, and Nasir Sirikhan and their troupe of William Gamborg, Egil Mikael, Yasin Tatby.
Art Director Tanya Mirza masterfully creates a visual spectacle that complements the song’s emotional depth. The song opens in a recognizably Nordic and thus colder clime. Cosy interiors, carrying subtle mementos from warmer lands, painfully far and away, unfold under Jamal Rahman’s tasteful direction. Though they each sing from spaces that are their own, an unmistakable unrest envelopes Amanda, Karpe and Kaifi. Magdi and Chirag represent the longing we feel until we find a true community and connection.”
