Return of Mahir but sadly, no return of romance between Mahir & Mehroo. Scroll down for FUCHSIA’s review of Dobara.
Koi Mahir ko shopping lay jaaye bhai please! Mahir jee dukhee hero bhi to style mein ho suktay thay na?

Where’s The Chemistry?
The drama is losing out majorly on its most important message – of a relationship between two people with an age difference. Is it the inhibitions of the actors themselves to enact romantic scenes which are now sticking out like a sore thumb? Their onscreen chemistry could have been portrayed creatively in so many ways and without crossing any boundaries. Affan and Seher’s interaction in the same drama is one example.
Drama creators zalim samaaj kiyon bun gaye hain? Zero romance, zero chemistry, zero attraction between Mahir and Mehroo… why oh why? Kiya kasoor tha in dono ka?
Finally Some Maturity
Affan finally depicts the maturity we have all been desperately seeking in his character. Instead of reacting emotionally, he is now embarrassed and realises the gravity of the situation. It was a beautifully executed scene that not only made us feel deeply for Affan but also made us feel somewhat forgiving towards Seher despite her previous actions.
Usama Khan gives a notable performance that really made us connect with, & feel Affan’s embarrassment and regret.
Glad to see the drama revealed the sazish without too much delay and didn’t stretch it for long. But has Seher learned her lesson? Should Mehroo have let her off that easily? After all, she did allege false harassment claims against Mahir… is her easy acquittal not undermining the entire concept?
Shano jee we love you. You are our hero for saving the day!
On another note, why is Mahir so shabbily dressed? Why can’t we see any development & growth in Mahir’s character? Given how smart he is, it seems odd that he hasn’t improved much in terms of carrying himself.
