ARE EASY DOUGHNUTS AN ALTERNATIVE TO KRISPY KREME ???
Being a Canadian, donuts are my weakness and finding the perfect donut in Karachi had been a mission for me. Even though Karachi has Dunkin’ Donuts, I craved something that reminded me of home. Through word of mouth, I heard about Easy Donuts. So of course, on a night out, I dragged my husband to Easy – a restaurant located on Khayaban-e-Shahbaz, DHA, Karachi. When I entered the restaurant, the cozy feel interior made me feel welcome almost immediately. The neon-pink sign which read “Who runs the world”, caught my attention. But what really made me drool, was the lavish spread of donuts behind the glass display.
Just when it was my turn to place an order, I was stuck with the dilemma of which flavour to opt for. Since Easy donuts came in so many flavours: Plain Glazed, Creme Brule, Salted Caramel, Red Velvet and many more, I have to say, I was spoilt for choice! I played it safe and ordered Plain Glazed and Hazelnut-Wafer Crunch. To my surprise both flavours tasted divine and mouth watering. This was heavenly sweetness rolled into every bite! The Hazelnut-Wafer Crunch carried a unique flavour. The chocolate-filled centre instantly made me fall in love. But, the Plain Glazed was love at first bite. The soft and fluffy texture instantly reminded me of Krispy Kreme. The donuts didn’t let me down and Easy is now my go-to place whenever I am in need of comfort food.
Does Easy Donuts reminds you of Krispy Kreme? If you are Krazy about Krispy Kreme, I have some good news for you. We now have an alternative to it in K-town.
Easy has done a phenomenal job with their donuts and they might actually give you a feel of Krispy Kreme. The appearance of Easy donuts is a bit more layered than Krispy Kreme but when you place them in your mouth, their soft and fluffy texture will remind you of Krispy Kreme. These mouth-watering donuts tempt you to want to have more than one – just like Krispy Kreme. A single Krispy Kreme costs around one dollar, and a single Glazed Donut at Easy would cost about Rs 200. The price of Easy donuts is not easy on the pocket but we need to give the eatery credit for bringing the best glazed donuts in Karachi. It’s safe to say that they are an alternative to Krispy Kreme.
Too lazy to go get yourself a donut? Donut worry, Easy delivers. If you live in Karachi and have not tried Easy donuts, you’re definitely missing out on something. Easy is always experimenting with their flavours. They have currently launched GOT donuts and they have fan excited already! Due to the increasing popularity of their donuts, Easy is often sold out. But don’t worry, the restaurant has officially started delivering and now you can get your hands on these donuts whenever you want. A donut can satisfy that sweet tooth like no other, and we can’t thank Maha Javed enough for doing us Karachites a huge favour by bringing these donuts to town.
