What is better than satisfying, wholesome, flavoursome food? The answer is nothing, absolutely nothing! Nothing can beat the texture or taste of oozing cheese, tender meat, a perfect balance of spices, and to-die-for chocolate! Our love for good food led us to Vintage Café and we share our experience and the entire food journey with you.
Vintage Café is located in Sindhi Muslim Society. On first impressions, we liked the vibe. The ground floor was humming with people enjoying their food while taking a lunch time break. The staff was courteous as they led us to the upper section of the café. Deciding what to eat is always a tedious task as so many people want to try different things at the same meal. After 30 minutes of debate and discussion, we finally settled on Chili Poppers, Mushroom Bruschetta, The Vintage Toast, Open Faced Honey Mustard Sandwich, Cajun Prawn Spaghetti, Blue Colada, and Tropical Cooler! Yeah, we know this is too much food, please don’t judge us – it was lunch time and we were super HUNGRY!!!
So let’s spill the beans on the Vintage Cafe food offerings:
Chili Poppers
These were a major hit. Deep fried chilies stuffed with cheese and corn was a dream come true as the balance of crispiness at the outer side and mushy gooey goodness on the inside awakened all of our taste buds.
Mushroom Bruschetta
This one was perfect, a bit on the salty side, it was the perfect combo of cheese and mushroom. Mushroom lovers – this one’s for you and it’s a must-have if you are going to Vintage Café.
The Vintage Toast
This was stuffed with ricotta cheese, peaches, and topped with strawberry jam. The fusion of fruits with a hint of cinnamon didn’t work for us. It was too sweet for our taste buds, but if you like things sweet, this toast is for you.
Open Faced Honey Mustard Sandwich
The sandwich was a super hit with an unexpected combination of chicken and apple. The sweet and salty combo worked magic and there wasn’t a single bite left as we polished everything off the plate.
Cajun Prawn Spaghetti
A treat for seafood lovers and bursting with flavour. Spaghetti tossed in a creamy sauce with Cajun spice and topped with grilled prawns – can you ask for a better combination?
Drinks
The drinks were heavenly, they tasted as good as they looked. From Blue Colada to Tropical Cooler, the fruity freshness will refresh you in the sizzling heat of Karachi.
From initial presentation to the final taste, the offerings at Vintage Cafe were delicious, and flavourful and it was a day well spent. If you are a Karachiite, we urge you to visit the Café with your friends and family to enjoy an amazing joyride of heavenly food. Happy eating!!
