ARY Digital coming up with new dramas and although we’re looking forward to projects like Prem Gali & Ghissi Pitti Mohabbat, we’re definitely wondering if Nand is even on our list (after the dodgy Jalan)!

ARY Digital being one of the top rated television channels of Pakistan, has always managed to get the attention of audiences, whether it gives dramas like Hassad and Jhooti which have become the most unbearable subjects now or the most successful plays of Pakistani Television like Meray Paas Tum Ho, it has the ability to attract the typical Pakistani Drama viewers in different ways. This year also (after MPTH’s end), viewers of ARY were anxiously awaiting upcoming content that will keep them hooked, yet again. So let’s walk you through a sneak preview of some of the most anticipated, and star-studded upcoming Dramas on ARY.
1. Bharaas
After gaining a lot of popularity from her debut serial Dilruba, Dur e Fishan Saleem is all set to shine again with her upcoming project Bharaas. Written by Naila Ansari (of Ruswai) and directed by Nain Manyar, the drama will star Omer Shehzad opposite Dur e Fishan. The cast will also include Zubab Rana, Furqan Qureshi, and Rabya Kulsoom.
This is one drama featuring some very fresh faces, and we are definitely looking forward to it.
2. Aulaad
Aulaad will star super-talented actors Sunita Marshall and Hassan Niazi together. Sunita Marshall was last seen in a drama serial 2 years ago which was an APlus project named Ghamand starring Nauman Ijaz and Minal Khan. Hassan has appeared on the big screen since the past 2-3 years. Aulaad is directed by Aabis Raza and written by Ameer Ali Shah.
The drama is also bringing back Hina Javed after her debut drama Meray Paas Tum Ho.

3. Nand
Minal Khan who is currently playing Nisha in Jalan, will be seen again in her typical ‘Bechari’ look in upcoming drama Nand. I have zero expectations from it, because of its extremely irritating theme – Nand? (already giving us Jalan undertones?). But the one element which would be the reason to watch at least the first episode, is the comeback of Faiza Hassan after a long time. I first saw her in the most loved ARY Telefilm “BurnsRoad ki Neelofer” and immediately became a huge fan. The last drama serial she did was “Kho Gaya Woh” for Bol Entertainment which was at least 3 years ago and now she returns with Nand. The drama is written by Samina Aijaz (of Kaisa Hai Naseeban) and directed by Syed Zeeshan Ali.
4. Dunk
One drama which has already become the talk of the town is Dunk. Directed by Ishqiya and Balaa director Badar Mehmood and written by Mohsin Ali, Dunk will be a Murder Mystery (as per reports) which will star Sana Javed and Bilal Abbas in lead roles, whereas the names of the supporting cast are also peaking our interest.
The cast includes the rising, shining Azekah Daniel and Fahad Sheikh, and will feature Nauman ijaz in a significant role.

5. Ghissi Pitti Mohabbat
After APlus’s “Faaltu Larki” and Bol Entertainment’s “Mohini Mansion Ki Cindrellayein” we all started loving Faseeh Bari Khan as a drama serial writer. Previously, we watched his telefilms, and now we look forward to his drama Ghissi Pitti Mohabbat which won my heart at a glance. The drama, directed by Ahmed Bhatti who has given us Thora Sa Haq recently, stars Wahaj Ali and Ramsha Khan in lead roles. The story revolves around two people (Riz and Saami) who share similar personalities falls in love with each other and try to maintain a balance in their unusual marital life.
A reason to watch out for this one? GPM’s OST hints at a Romantic Comedy, which is a much needed genre for television nowadays.
6. Prem Gali
Last, but not the least, if there’s one drama which can be called the most anticipated of the season, it’s definitely Prem Gali. Farhan Saeed, who gained immense love in Suno Chanda has paired up with our Motor Cycle Girl Sohai Ali Abro, who’s making a comeback on television after Surkh Chandni. Prem Gali is written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Qasim Ali Mureed. The cast includes veterans Qavi Khan, Shamim Hilaly, Saba Hamid, Waseem Abbas, and Javed Sheikh.
Prem Gali is also rumoured to be the sequel of Faiza Iftikhar’s hugely successful Aangan which aired on ARY Digital in 2017, but there are no confirmations from the makers. For that and many reasons, we will wait for it.

All these dramas are expected to air after Eid Ul Azha or by September. Till then, let’s hope the stories do not disappoint. Looking ahead to some great content on television in the coming months.
