The director for audiences’ beloved drama, Fairy Tale, Ali Hasan, revealed fascinating insights in an exclusive interview with FUCHSIA!

Ali Hasan is a Pakistani drama director who has directed several popular dramas, including Fairy Tale, Nehar, Paristan, and Pyari Mona. Having completed his bachelors in Film & Television from BNU, Pakistan, Hasan began his career and worked his way up to directing his own dramas.
Hasan’s most recent drama, Fairy Tale, was a huge success and garnered critical acclaim. The drama tells the story of two families from different social backgrounds who are intertwined in a web of love, betrayal, and forgiveness. Hassan’s direction was praised for the fun characters, storyline, the leads’ chemistry and ability to capture the complex emotions of the characters.
He says he sure does read all reviews, comments and edits made by the fans and actually really enjoys it. He revealed Hamza Sohail was the first to tell him about Fairy Tale even before he knew he was going to be directing a Ramzan play.
Why Sehar Was About To Leave Fairy Tale But Didn’t!
While both Sehar & the director Ali didn’t get on the right foot, right away, Sehar was also leaving the drama at a point, but soon the director and actress duo turned out to become great friends. Because he says, the first couple of days when starting a new project, he is very focused and keeps a low profile, busy thinking about what will work and what won’t, collaborating with the office.
“Sehar cracked a couple of jokes and I just looked straight at her and then got back to my work, it took quite a while for me and Sehar to become friends, she was even going to leave the drama at a point. She would say: “Who is he, he doesn’t even talk or reply!” Then the production team told her to give (me) him a couple days. “Now Sehar and I are such great friends, I have never been such good friends with an actress.” quips the director.
He amusingly pointed out that while Hamza Sohail’s ideas were the most implemented, they were also the most frequently rejected.
The Reason For Hamza & Sehar’s Palpable Chemistry As Umeed & Farjaad!
Fans are going to find it hard to believe but guess it truly makes sense – the best things turn out to be unexpected!
Ali Hasan shared: “The first scene Hamza and Sehar did together was very bad, I said there is no chemistry, rework it and come back. Then they spoke for a while with Ali Safina and when they shot next, their scenes worked. They had become friends, communicated with each other, and it worked!
They have really good energy and their friendship is really great which is mainly why audiences have loved these characters and their chemistry so much.”
