What a week it’s been! With so much going on, it’s easy for a few things to slip by – and that’s exactly where we come in.

This week was packed with major stories – from breaking news and sad moments to ongoing investigations. Here’s a quick look at the events that caught attention across the country and around the world.
1. Chikungunya: The Mosquito-Borne Virus Making Headlines In China

Since July 2025, over 7,000 chikungunya cases have been reported in Guangdong province, mostly in the city of Foshan, just north of Hong Kong. This marks China’s largest chikungunya outbreak to date. What’s making it worse is that this virus has never really taken hold in mainland China before – meaning the majority of the population had no built-up immunity, and the virus had more room to spread. 2. Instagram Just Dropped Features That’ll Have You In Your Stalker Era

Instagram’s latest update has basically turned us all into casual digital detectives – with reposts that show up in friends’ feeds, a resurrected (and louder) Likes tab so you can see exactly what your mutuals are double-tapping, and a location-sharing map giving full Snapchat energy. It’s chaotic, mildly terrifying, and yet… we can’t stop scrolling. Read more about the updates here.
3. Samar Jafri Stunned Everyone With His Performance This Week In Parwarish

When Wali finds Boss dead, everything changes – his expressions, his body language, the silence in his eyes. The pain, the sorrow, the heartbreak – it all spoke volumes without him even saying a word. Losing someone who gave you the most meaningful advice of your life, who stood by you in your darkest moments, who believed in your dreams and gave them life – that kind of loss cuts deep.
That mentor is now gone. And Samar Jafri delivered that moment with a performance that left jaws on the floor.
4. Aima Baig & Zain Ahmed Just Got Married & It’s Pure Pinterest-Inspired Perfection!

Aima Baig is officially off the market, and she dropped the news with zero build-up, maximum impact. The singer tied the knot with Zain Ahmad, co-founder and creative director of the streetwear label Rastah, in what can only be described as a very Pinterest-core, very wholesome backyard Nikah. We love an initmate affair! Want to know what Aima and Zain wore to make their day look straight out of a dream? Tap here.

6. Wednesday’ Season 2 Lands In Two Parts – First Four Episodes Now Streaming

Wednesday Season 2 is finally here on Netflix, with Jenna Ortega back as everyone’s favorite spooky teen. This season has more mystery, creepy twists, and drama at Nevermore Academy, with familiar faces joined by new stars like Steve Buscemi and Thandiwe Newton. Fans are already calling it even better than the first, praising Ortega’s perfect mix of sass, wit, and charm. The fresh characters bring new energy, the plot is full of surprises, and the gothic sets and costumes look straight out of a dark fairytale. It’s fun, a little eerie, and completely binge-worthy.
7. Hania Aamir At The Revive Concert Has Officially Broken The Internet!
Was it a PR move by the sponsors or just a casual drop-in everyone’s reading way too much into? Either way, timelines are flooded, theories are flying, and we’re all pretending not to refresh our feeds every five minutes.
8. We Watched My Oxford Year, So You Don’t Have To

Set in dreamy Oxford but emotionally hollow, My Oxford Year stumbles through clichés, weak chemistry, and a twist that leaves you unmoved. You know those movies that are supposed to sweep you off your feet? Make your heart flutter, your eyes misty, and maybe even inspire a spontaneous rewatch of Pride and Prejudice? Well… this isn’t one of them. Anna de la Vega (Sofia Carson) has spent her life dreaming of Oxford, with a plan as neat as her color-coded notebooks — a year studying Victorian poetry before starting her big-city finance career. But everything changes when she meets Jamie Davenport (Corey Mylchreest), the charming local with floppy hair, a shadowy past, and just enough mystery to throw her carefully planned life off course. Check out the full review here.
9. Why Women Like Zarnab In Goonj Hesitate To Speak Up – And YouTube Comments Prove The Theory!

The recent episode of Goonj focused on Zarnab, who’s a victim of workplace harassment from her colleague Nabeel. He’s been making uncomfortable remarks and trying to bring her down in subtle but damaging ways. When Zarnab gets promoted, instead of accepting it, Nabeel is clearly bothered. He tells her that she only got the promotion because she’s a woman and was close to the boss. On top of that, he starts spreading fake stories around the office, creating false scenarios and hinting that there’s something going on between him and Zarnab – just to damage her reputation and character. The teaser for the next episode shows Zarnab finally deciding to speak up and file a harassment complaint – and that’s where things might start getting even more complicated.

10. Fahad Mustafa Stepped Into The World Of Parwarish This Week & Fans Loved It!

Fahad Mustafa’s cameo in Parwarish may have lasted just a few minutes, but it definitely grabbed everyone’s attention. Last week, Wali got a call from Fahad’s team, asking him to come to the office with an offer – to work on the OST for his upcoming project. And when Fahad finally showed up on screen, he instantly became the center of attention. The scene had everything: Sameer going full fan mode, Wali trying to keep his cool while clearly overwhelmed, and Fahad playing it all with that smooth, self-aware swagger he’s famous for.
Here’s what the audience had to say about the scene and the fun interaction! Check out here!
