It seems to have been a gloomy day for Pakistani music fans. With Pasoori’s painstaking remake on their music feed, fans are disgruntled. In this case, Coke Studio Global’s Turk – Pak collaboration might be the tune to lift your spirits today! We are well aware of the love Pakistanis share for Turkey and vice versa. We seem to love Turkish food, music, art, dramas and even the language which to many sounds so exotic.
Well, this then shall be music to your ears – literally! Coke Studio Global has released a new song with rising alternative pop Turkish singer, Evdeki Saat and Pasoori fame, Pakistani singer Anushae, Shae Gill. The song is called “One Love” and is a blend of Turkish, Urdu and English lyrics.
Pakistani & Turkish Rising Singers
One of Turkey’s rising names in alternative pop Evdeki Saat was discovered in 2014, he debuted with his song “Biraz Olsun” on YouTube, his first song to reach massive heights was in 2020, “Uzunlar V1” which has over 120 million Spotify streams until recently. We know Shae Gill for her overnight fame with Pasoori, she is a 24 year old singer who started her journey from her friend’s room where she would sing covers of Pakistani songs on Instagram. Her voice is considered highly soothing and soulful.

Inspiration Behind The Track
The video starts with Evdeki Saat singing the song in Turkish. At a first listen, the song has a groovy alternative pop tone. Shae and Evdeki also sing a chorus in English which gives off fresh pop vibes with a catchy fun tune. Shae’s Urdu lyrics are sing in her signature soothing vocals but we had to listen twice to make out what the lyrics were. Wish she added more of her soulful magic to the melody! They sing in a face off style both in similar outfit tones. Shae donned a locally crafted outfit with distinct cultural embroidery and prints with jewellery sourced from the KPK region in Pakistan. Evdeki is clad in a tee and printed jacket!
Both singers have said: “The inspiration for the track was based around the themes of romance, new love and the open expression of love.”

Audiences are overjoyed at the Turkish and Pakistani collaboration, they are enjoying the two languages and cultures coming together in the form of music. Listeners opine both singers’ voices are synchronising perfectly and the blend is mesmerising with a very lowkey setup yet still engaging.
