Impressed with the writer Sarwat Nazir and Director Mohammed Ehteshamuddin of Yunhi for showing us another aspect of love at a young age and how two people who are poles apart in temperament & value systems, can grow to accept and like each other with patience and respect.

Winning Conversations
Beautiful interaction between Kim and Dawood over namaz. It is definitely heart winning to see how Dawood’s patience, respect for Kim and his trust in her has paid off with no toxic actions or emotional black mailing. Kim has also learned to be more logical, calm and reasonable in her discussions and conversations with Dawood.
Kim, despite changing a bit doesn’t stop making Dawood realize his errors in judgement or the responsibilities as an elder brother, especially when Suriya comes to apologize. The importance of siblings being friends and providing enough comfort & confidence to sisters that they can talk to them about anything is more about responsibility of brothers & elders in the family rather than merely the duty of women.
But will Razia and Kim ever make peace? We doubt that. Kim never fails to make Razia “la jawaab” despite Dawood cautioning her with his silent gestures.
Yunhi Changing Perspectives
Initially we were all with Suriya as to how she must have the freedom to marry with her own choice. It is remarkable and proof of impactful content creation as to how we changed our views in just one episode. Love can deprive you of logic, unnecessary restrictions from home can make the first available opportunity look like the best one when it might not be… last but not the least, the wisdom of elders might not always be wrong.
The fact that Dawood went to check out Owais and his family was a giant step for him and his conservative family. It was a winning and responsible gesture from his side. But just because Owais is unsuitable, Suriya should be asked to marry Hamid whom she doesn’t want to marry at all? The fact that Suriya is not ready or agreeable to this marriage remains unchanged, even though Owais might be out of the picture for now.
Even Kim understands this and realizes the importance of being respected in a family. She can also see how Dawood raises his voice for her before his family and stands by her. Though we do question that, Dawood too, hasn’t managed to make his family respect Kim, is it then justified to expect the same from Owais?
The Wisdom Or Ego Of Old Age?
Dada jaan in refuses to listen to anything at all – a representation of elders when they just deny the freedom and independence children in the family deserve either due to ego or refusal to embrace a dynamic mindset.
