Are you also having FOMO watching those chunky, gooey chocolate chip cookies all over your feed? Don’t worry – I’ve got you. This is your super easy, foolproof recipe for soft, bite-sized choco chip cookies that come together in less than 20 minutes.

You know those thick, chunky chocolate chip cookies that look like they belong in a bakery window – the ones with golden edges, soft centres, and melted chocolate spilling out just enough to make you stare for a second too long? This is that kind of cookie… just made at home, with zero drama.
The best part? There’s no waiting around, no complicated steps, and no fancy tools. Just a simple bowl, basic pantry ingredients, and a dough that behaves exactly how you want it to. This is your go-to recipe for bite-sized cookies that are soft, chocolate-loaded, and dangerously easy to keep making again and again.
Ingredients (All at Room Temperature)
Soft Butter – 90 grams (≈ 6 tbsp)
Sugar – 50 grams (≈ 4 tbsp)
Milk – 4–6 tbsp
All-Purpose Flour – 100 grams (≈ 8 tbsp)
Chocolate Chips or Chunks – generously (the more, the better)
Method:
1. Cream butter & sugar
In a bowl, mix the soft butter and sugar until smooth, creamy, and slightly fluffy. This step builds the base texture, so take your time to get it well combined.
2. Add milk
Pour in the milk and mix again until everything becomes soft and well incorporated.
3. Fold in flour
Add the all-purpose flour and gently fold it into the mixture. Avoid overmixing – just bring the dough together until no dry flour remains.
4. Add chocolate
Mix in the chocolate chips or chunks generously. This is what makes every bite rich and satisfying, so don’t hold back.
5. Shape the cookies
Scoop small portions of dough and place them on a baking tray. Keep them bite-sized and slightly spaced apart.
6. Bake
Bake at 180°C for about 10 minutes.
Important: Don’t overbake!
Even a couple of extra minutes can change soft cookies into crunchy biscuits. Pull them out while they still look slightly soft in the centre – this is what keeps them gooey and not crunchy.
Trust me… you’ll be thinking about this again tomorrow night.
