As one of the established names in the Pakistani entertainment industry, Humayoun Ashraf is an actor who made it big because of his strong and commanding screen presence. Starting his career with television, he became popular for his remarkable performances in TV dramas including Ishq Hamari Galiyon Mein, Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai, and Naqaab. Popular for portraying a variety of characters throughout his career, Humayoun Ashraf has managed to amaze his audience with his versatility. His performances in dramas such as Haasil, Rang Mahal, and Inteqam are examples of his acting range. Entering the world of films, he made his debut with the romantic musical film Sacch in 2019.

Humayoun Ashraf Opens Up About Fear, Competition & Family Support
We were curious to know if, after working for so many years, Humayoun Ashraf considers himself a fearless actor. He shared that even today, before the first day of his shoot, he struggles to sleep because he feels the pressure of bringing a character to life. He said, “I always feel scared that will I be able to do it or not, and if I do it, will it be justified or not?” Talking about working with different creative minds, he explained that understanding the director’s vision and matching the energy of co-actors is always a challenge. According to him, “I feel like I am going to do this for the very first time in my life every time, so there is no fearlessness in an actor’s life.” He believes that this fear keeps an actor learning and growing, while taking chances and accepting challenging roles is what truly defines fearlessness.
When asked about competition among male actors, Humayoun shared that competition always exists, but he does not feel there is negativity or toxicity within the industry. He also opened up about his bond with his family, especially his mother, saying that they share a close relationship where they consult each other on important matters. Talking about her support, he highlighted the importance of parents’ prayers and said, “The most important thing that you don’t even know is that she is praying for you.” He added that having parents who continue to support and pray for you is one of the biggest blessings in life.
Humayoun Ashraf Talks About Zain’s Journey in Mahnoor & Working With New Faces
Talking about Zain’s feelings, he said that he does not think Zain ever truly loved Mehwish. According to him, Zain had never experienced love before and misunderstood his attachment with Mehwish as love. He explained that with Mahnoor, the feelings developed gradually through sympathy and spending time together.
When asked about working with new faces in the drama, Humayoun shared that he usually enjoys working with new talent and had a great experience with actors like Zoya Nasir, Khadija, and Aqeel. He appreciated Aqeel’s performance and mentioned that the audience initially expected a different direction for his character, but the twist made it more interesting.
Humayoun Ashraf Shares the Benefits of Being Single & The Importance of Companionship
During an insightful conversation about the benefits of being single, Humayoun Ashraf shared that one of the biggest advantages is having complete freedom and not being answerable to anyone about his routine. “I am a free bird,” he said, explaining that he can make his own decisions without having to explain where he is going or what he is doing. He added that another benefit is not having to worry about someone else’s preferences, whether it is about food or daily plans. He also mentioned that being single means having fewer tensions, sleeping and waking up according to your own choice, and being able to make spontaneous plans, like booking a ticket and travelling whenever an opportunity comes. He jokingly added that another benefit is avoiding arguments and household problems that couples often have to deal with.
Talking about whether being single is underestimated, Humayoun shared that although single life has its own perks, marriage is also a beautiful relationship when understood properly. He believes that humans are naturally made for companionship and that life becomes more meaningful when you have someone to share your journey with. Sharing what he misses most about marriage, he said, “Companionship is the most important thing.” He explained that having someone to share good and bad moments with, discuss problems, seek advice from, and receive moral support from is a special feeling that cannot be replaced.
