We’ve been seeing Hasan Khan on our TV screens for quite some time now in different characters and dramas like Chaalbaaz, Juda Huay Kuch Is Tarah, and Na Tum Jano Na Hum. Over the years, he has taken on a variety of roles, but it’s in Kafeel where he has really stood out and impressed audiences the most. He has been a fan favourite since we first saw him in Kafeel, and his performance has truly connected with viewers in a special way.
We wanted to sit down with Hasan and speak about his journey, how he got Kafeel and more, and we were fortunate enough to get a chance to sit down with him and talk to him, get a sneak peek into the conversation below.

Why Has Hasan Khan Only Done 4 Dramas In 7 Years? We Were Curious…
Since Hasan started back in 2019, he’s only appeared in a handful of dramas, so we had to ask — was it a struggle to get scripts, or was he just being selective?
Turns out, it’s the latter.
“No, I was getting a lot of scripts. Even today, I’m getting a lot of scripts,” he shared. In fact, after Chaalbaaz and Kafeel, he revealed that he had actually refused a few projects. For him, the platform matters more than just the number of scenes. As he put it, “If it’s a good platform, then people will actually see your work. Whether it’s 25 or 30 scenes, it doesn’t matter.”
We also wondered what he meant when he said he had been “working on himself” over the years, especially after graduating from NAPA.
Hasan explained that acting is something that constantly evolves. He spoke about the drills and exercises he learned during training — from characterization to dialogue delivery — all aimed at making performances feel real and believable. But he also admitted that formal training is just the beginning.
He recalled how his teachers would always emphasize that learning acting takes time. Even after years of training, you’re still growing. Sharing a memorable moment, he said one of his teachers once told him that even his last theatre performance was something he wished he could redo.
And that idea has stuck with Hasan.
While many believe acting is something you truly learn on the job, Hasan sees it a bit differently. Yes, on-set experience matters — understanding lights, camera, co-actors — but a lot of the work also comes from within.
“For us, imagination is the main thing in acting,” he explained. The ability to believe in a moment, to make it feel real, is what ultimately connects with the audience. Because at the end of the day, “until your performance feels natural, the audience doesn’t click.”
“Prepare, be patient, and know your worth” — Hasan Khan Shares Advice For Aspiring Actors
We asked Hasan what he would like to say to new actors and actresses stepping into the industry — and his answer was simple, but honest: prepare yourself.
“Work on your craft, work on your skills,” he said, stressing that acting isn’t something you can just jump into without training. He compared it to other professions — a cricketer needs daily practice, a singer trains their voice — and for actors, it’s no different. The more you train, the more your potential grows.
Interestingly, Hasan shared that early in his career, he even turned down opportunities just to focus on learning. While some around him chose to leave training and jump straight into TV, he wasn’t tempted by fame or money. For him, success has always been about skill.
“I still feel like I need to practice more,” he admitted. Even now, he’d rather wait a year or two for the right project than rush into something that doesn’t do justice to his abilities. Because in his words, it’s better to be patient than to face criticism for work you’re not proud of.
And that patience is something he emphasized again and again.
“Effort is in your hands, but success is in God’s hands,” he said. According to him, many newcomers today are too eager, wanting quick results without putting in the time. But in reality, the journey requires consistency, patience, and resilience.
But perhaps the most important advice he shared? Be smart about your choices.
“Know your direction. Learn how to say no,” he said. Hasan revealed that he has even turned down scripts from some of the biggest producers because they didn’t align with what he wanted to do.
For him, being “street smart” and protecting your craft matters just as much as talent.
Did Hasan Khan Expect Kafeel To Become This Popular? Not really…
We were curious — did Hasan ever feel that Kafeel would become this big? That despite limited screen time, his character would be loved so much?
Turns out, not really.
For him, it was more about trusting the team. “I just knew the platform was good, the team was good, the production was strong… so I knew I would be seen,” he shared. But predicting a hit? That’s not something even actors can do.
And then came that moment.
Hasan recalled how things changed almost overnight after his comeback. “I woke up and saw so many reels… so many people loving it,” he said. Before that, he felt appreciated — but this level of response was something else.
“If we knew what would work, we’d just keep doing the same thing,” he added.
Even though the response felt overwhelming, somewhere deep down, Hasan says he always believed his moment would come — not necessarily fame, but an opportunity.
“You know Allah gives you chances… and when it happens, you start understanding it,” he explained.
