Much to Fawad Khan fans’ dismay, they haven’t seen him on screen for at least 5 years now except for some cameos here and there. However, that is changing very soon with his back-to-back upcoming projects. From Maula Jatt, Nilofer, Money Back Guarantee, to a recently announced web series with Sanam Saeed, he is all geared up to swoon us over with his classic Fawad Khan charm.
In an interview with Anupama Chopra of Film Camponion, he talked about his upcoming projects, Bollywood, retirement plans, Next Big Story & much more.
Fawad Khan On Bollywood & India
According to Fawad Khan, people in both Pakistan and India hold intrigue and inquisition in their hearts for both sides of the border more than hate. He feels that the hatred (if any) is little to none. He was showered with love during his time in India and he actually admitted to missing Bollywood and his friends there.
The number of projects he has done in India is representative of his views on Pak-India relationship. Fawad Khan stated that he would love artists to work together and foster relationships and friendships. We feel he is actually practicing what he preaches by taking up a web series on an Indian platform yet again. In fact, this is how he shared his experience working on the project:
On the day that I was leaving, I told them that after Kapoor & Sons, this is probably one of those projects where I feel like I’ve made a family.

Upcoming Projects
Even though we haven’t been seeing much of Fawad Khan on screen, he told Anupama Chopra that during his so-called hiatus and Covid times, he actually shot three films. His characters in Maula Jatt, Nilofer & Money Back Guarantee are completely different from each other and he is excited for his fans to watch him execute those roles.
And the biggest news of all? Fawad Khan confirmed that he is in Ms Marvel. This would be his first project in Hollywood and fans can’t keep calm!
Next Big Story
Fawad Khan launched a platform for aspiring writers this year called the Next Big Story. In his words, “#TheNextBigStory is a platform that aims to provide aspiring writers with the opportunity for exposure, to help them realize their talent, and to help them overcome some of the challenges that content writers face today.”
When asked about the ambition behind this platform, Fawad Khan stated that we only have a handful of writers in the industry as of now and he felt like there was a lack of fresh content. Hence why he launched this platform.
Everyone wants to be an actor or a director but very few people want to be writers or DOPs or any other role that make a project work, he further explained. He feels there’s a need for fresh content and also to nurture writes so the launch of Next Big Story is a win-win. During the first round, the platform received 40-50 entries and they have picked a winner. Unfortunately, the ceremony did not happen due to covid however, they do plan to put out the results soon and launch a second season!
His Cooking Skills & Retirement Plans!
Make way for the new chef in town! Fawad Khan revealed that he finds cooking very therapeutic and his food actually tastes good! Spaghetti Bolognese, Shepherd’s pie, palak paneer & coconut curry are just few of his specialties. But wait, there’s more! His ultimate post-retirement goal is to open up a restaurant!
