Where Mehek might end up warming up to Shamsher’s behaviour, due to the fact that he genuinely loves her (according to her mom), are we conditioning women and society to think that this too, is a form of love? Scroll down to read FUCHSIA’s review of Kaisi Teri Khudgharzi.

Worse still, it seems from the promo, that Mehek seems to have a hold on his behaviour, and Shamsher’s mother suggests the same. So are we then, suggesting that a wayward son merely needs a loving wife and not a therapist to put him straight? What of the abuse Mehek and her family has suffered at the hands of Shamsher? Can all that emotional scarring be erased over time, just like that, as Mehek might set to straighten Shamsher. Aaah, as always, women are the strong ones right? The emotional punching bag on whom the world leans.
Kaisi Teri Khudgharzi seems to be pushing this idea onto audiences, and this is perhaps not the first time it is done. But the fact that the drama is garnering mega views, the latest episode has over 10 Million – might be enough to question if the storyline is seriously regressive and dangerous to be consumed by the masses!
