The first episode of Ishq Murshid aired last night and audience verdict is in! Here’s what they are saying on X….

Ishq Murshid is brought to our screens starting last night, by Moomal Entertainment and MD Productions. The narrative is written by Abdul Khaliq Khan who wrote Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai and is directed by Farooq Rind, who was also behind the directorially acclaimed Hum Kahan Ke Sachhay Thay. At the forefront of this compelling saga stand Bilal Abbas Khan as Shahmeer and Durefishan Saleem as Shibra, their portrayals breathing life into the central characters. Surrounding them, an ensemble cast graces the screen, featuring luminaries such as Samiya Mumtaz, Omair Rana, Noor ul Hasan, Salma Hasan, Hira Tareen, and Adnan Jaffar.
Bilal Abbas Khan essays the role of Shahmeer who is mysterious, dark, emotionally perplexed and the son of a rich but corrupt politician who has just returned from the UK. Shibra is the daughter of a high-ranking government employee who is extremely down to earth, has strict principals and is righteous and morally strong. She is feisty, outspoken and has a bright personality with a vehemence against the rich which leaves us wondering just how will Shameer and Shibra’s love story pan out?
Shameer is seen falling for Shibra, the very first time he laid his eyes on her as he disguised himself as the event manager. The overarching theme for the first episode and perhaps the storyline, seemed to be revolving around corruption in government positions, righteousness and staying true to one’s principles or the lack of. How the one thing that might just bring along Shahmeer and Shibra’s love story will be their tastes for a simpler, righteous and a just life. It seems for now to be an interesting storyline with some mystery vibes, ample romance (we can’t miss Shahmeer and Shibra’s rain scene) and the occasional bits of humor. Just as the dark, emotional bits hook you, the lighthearted moments and sparks of romance also leave you smiling. Though some audiences are pointing out, Shibra’s character in Ishq Murshid was just maybe a bit too preachy…what did you think?
Well, here is more on the audience’s verdict on the very first episode of Ishq Murshid:

Mystery Drama With Comic Additions
Just got done watching #IshqMurshid and damn, 40 minutes went by real quick! Bilal Abbas showing yet again why he’s one of the finest in the industry. Durre’s energy is amazing to witness. Loving the whole comic addition to the mystery drama. SUNDAY ENTERTAINMENT DONE RIGHT!
Shahmeer Sikandar Is Here To Rule Our Hearts!
Shahmeer has different shades, a son who loves his mother and opposes his corrupt father, a friend, a lover who fell in love with Shibra at first sight. Bilal performance was notch.
Is Shibra’s Character A Bit Preachy?
#ishqmurshid First Episode was amazing. Durre looked very good compared to JAM, a bit preachy but it was good for the first episode to set the stage. Bilal – What to say about this amazing actor, man of few words but master of expressions. Noor ji seems like a role model father.
So, what did you think of the first episode of Ishq Murshid? What did you like best, Bilal Abbas Khan as Shameer, Dur-e-Fishan Saleem as Shibra or the storyline, the mystery or the messages being shared?
