So Shahmeer is playing along with Haroon’s plan, pretending to believe that his father Dawood is behind all that is happening, while gathering proof to drop his final strike against Haroon’s conspiracy. But is he ready to sacrifice Suleiman as collateral damage in all this and lose Shibra’s love momentarily?
Or do you think Shahmeer has really changed?
A Pretend Game?
Well, on paper it sounds really good to have Shahmeer pretend and in the end, surprise us with the truth and let him win over any of the audiences that perhaps, were against him. But the drama doesn’t really get it right in execution. The story line seems weak, revealing multiple loopholes and most importantly, showing a sudden change in Shahmeer, which is turning out to be the biggest giveaway of the whole surprise plan. Lack of appropriate execution compromises the entire plan.
But we guess the creators don’t really care as long as the views are coming in.
So we believe Shahmeer is pretending and can still somehow justify the change in his behaviour, which is completely opposite to how he was portrayed to us earlier, … but what happened to Shibra’s character?
Where Is The OG Shibra?
The girl who was strong and believed in upholding principles, fails to act when Shahmeer refuses to help her father. Where is the Shibra who boldly challenged Dawood, who fought for her father in the first episode… can love really make you this weak and disillusioned? It takes a whole press conference for her to finally wake up and visit her father in jail … maybe.
Why can’t a character stay true to how he was initially portrayed?
More Confounding Plot Twists?
The most confusing and disappointing part was Suleiman’s sister’s conspiracy to plant money against her own brother. But the way Ishq Murshid’s story is throwing out plot twists without much logic or proper grounds, maybe she is also part of Shahmeer’s plan? If not, it is a big question as to why she would do that against her own brother, especially when her children have also moved out of the country. Couldn’t she approach Shahmeer and tell him everything to get his help? Oh well, we are done speculating or asking questions as we surely cannot beat the story in its multiple and senseless twists…
Where has Mehreen gone all of a sudden? Looks like she and Haroon take turns to take on the villain role in the story, based on how the creators are feeling on the morning of the shoot. For three episodes straight, it will be Mehreen running the show and then she will take the back seat and let her father take over the villain story.
Is This What We Deserve?
We as an audience, definitely do not deserve a well thought out story plan as to why this is happening? But maybe THIS is what we deserve after giving millions of views to such compromised scripts?
