What a brilliant episode. Romance, thought-provoking scenes, stressful twists and ending. All in the span of just 36:58 minutes. Burhan’s “May I” before wiping Nashwa’s tear, Ammar’s reaction to Bakhtiyar slapping him, and the most unexpected, Nashwa’s accident, all heart-touching moments that kept us hooked to the entire episode.
Surprise Character Twists
The drama is full of surprises, not just in terms of story twists but also character development. Ammar’s reaction to his father slapping him, and Ammar asking his grandmother to pray for his death was an emotionally charged scene. It suddenly made one look at Ammar in a different light despite him being an alleged rapist and murderer. It made one think how his behaviour is a result of Bakhtiyar’s bad parenting. It is a remarkable success to make audiences feel for a negative character and QJ just did that.
The scene with Nashwa and Burhan
Just how simple and touching the entire conversation was. Burhan knew she was upset, and he was trying to request her to forgive him. His line that “I need you”; all the right moves to melt Nashwa’s heart and agree to listen to him. Usama Khan and Yumna Zaidi’s onscreen chemistry really played out well in this scene. The cherry on top – just before touching her cheek to wipe her tears, Burhan asks her permission. Consent highlighted 101… yay! QJ you won us there. The two also cleared the misunderstanding between them.
Dadi’s decision to get Nashwa married to Ammar was not really a surprise. This was a twist we had anticipated, whether it happens or not is another question, but we knew that it was only a matter of time before Nashwa would be sacrificed for Ammar. Will Nashwa say yes to him in exchange for getting her mother married to Asim? What do you think?

Feryal’s honest answer saved her but made everyone angry. We are happy that Sidra finally stood up to Bakhtiyar and told him not to slap Ammar again.

Shout Out To The Editing
The entire scene was edited skilfully with shots of the accident – Nashwa bleeding profusely and the blood all over Burhan. While Burhan’s sentence: “I am responsible for everything” to the doctor asking how he is related to the patient was an emotional one, it does raise the question – how can he sign the medical documents and how can the hospital be satisfied with this answer. That technical detail aside, was the dialogue a reflection of Burhan’s guilt that if he had not angered Nashwa, she would have accepted his offer to drop her and hence, would have avoided the accident?
