“Kisi Ayat ki Terah Tujhe Aye Jaan-e-Jahan, Palkhon Per Bithaana Baqi Hai” Shehraam completes the poem for Mahnoor and then also gives her the name she is looking for “Jaan-e-Jahan”. JJ is winning hearts with a poetic, calming love story that has a charm of its own. JJ has created its own world among so many run-of-the-mill dramas on the screen, inviting us to a refreshing experience.

Old Story, New Storytelling
Well JJ proves that you can deliver a drama with the stereotypical and some “seen-before” themes, but if you execute it right, inject the right elements, you can still offer an entirely new experiment for viewers.
Mahnoor surprises us and Shehraam by celebrating his birthday with a cake and the school children in attendance. Something simple, yet so very Shehraam and Mahnoor.
Mahnoor is unaware that she has not only fallen for him but is also healing him with her genuine nature and purity of spirit.
In the midst of a sazishi step mom plot, we find this beautiful concept of how a pure, sincere soul can be the cure and the reason for bringing sukoon to another person. That is what Mahnoor is for Shehraam.
A Winning Conversation
The conversation between Shehraam and Mahnoor at the window was heart-winning. It was simple, casual, nothing too intellectual, yet at the same time, a conversation on which viewers could easily connect, making us a part of their love story. Maybe the diya painting will turn out to be soothing and calming for Shehraam.
We are disappointed that the drama showed Kishwer inquiring about her future through palm reading. Content creation requires responsibility on everyone involved and anything that can lead to weakening beliefs and strengthening distorted concepts amongst audiences should not be part of the story line. Especially through a drama that is loved and watched by millions of people.
Tabrez – The Shrewd Planner?
Tabrez’s story is also interesting to watch. He doesn’t allow us to get bored. He has a plan to get what he wants and even if he faces any hindrances, he is not employing the standard strategy of force. He is cleverly spinning a web around Gulzaib, tightening it with every move. When she tells him that she didn’t inform her husband about his visit last night, it was interesting how he responds, that sometimes, we ourselves are not aware of certain feelings & stay in denial. One wonders if Gulzaib is falling prey to his persistent efforts?
The play is written by Rida Bilal and brought to life under the direction of Qasim Ali Mureed. It is produced by Next Level Entertainment. The cast, features Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ayeza Khan, Asif Raza Mir, Savera Nadeem, Haris Waheed, Raza Talish and others.
