Jhok Sarkar – Will Shaukat’s Disappearance Sound The Death Knell For The Peeral/Meeral Mafia In Jhok Sial?

Interesting how ASP Arsalan coerces Jahan Dad to work against the very people he is loyal to. Kundan Masih’s entry marks how the narrative cleverly sheds light on the sorts of challenges, issues and biases taking place within the police force.
Looking For Love!
We were hoping that ASP Arsalan visits the school and we get to see some winning moments between him and Sassi. But guess we’ll have to wait for the next episode.
The Wrath Of Noori!
Will Noori be fearful of Peeral’s aggression and threats or is Peeral underestimating her? Does he realise that she will not let them get away with Shaukat’s murder?
Police Force & The Biases Within
Loving Jhok Sarkar for creating a positive image of the police force and at the same time, raising issues of minorities working in the force. ASP Arsalan’s words to Kundan Masih give hope and uplift us, sending out a message that hopefully, there are people who will look beyond the Faith or ethnicity of a person.
Sharp Storytelling
It is interesting how the mystery of Shaukat’s disappearance looms like a dark cloud over the future survival of the Peeral/Meeral Mafia. The plot is testament to sharp storytelling as the issue of his disappearance is woven like a tightly knitted narrative from episode one, and it resurfaces every now and again to remind us that this is the very issue that will unsettle the power balance and bring down the blanket influence of the Peeral clan in Jhok Sial. Is this also the breaking point where Noori’s rebellious spirit awakens, is this going to be the evidence that will eventually nail the Peeral family and sound the death knell for them? Is that what the narrative is leading us to? Sure seems like it!
Conspiracy In The Peeral Household
The two wives are planning another scheme against Noori, completely unaware that this time too, their plot will fail. The idea to make Peeral jealous by casting doubt about Noori’s ex-lover cannot prevail as Peeral already knows Shaukat is dead. Why Peeral is not doubting the first two wives in the snake attack on Noori is a bit of a weak twist in the plot. Given how sharp he is, he should have been able to put two and two together by now.
