Shamsher is a changed person now. But are we willing to forget his toxicity? Scroll down to read FUCHSIA’s review of Kaisi Teri Khudgharzi.

Kaisi Teri Khudgharzi

Are We Ready To Accept The Change?

Kaisi Teri Khudgharzi and Shamsher both have taken a turn for the better we would say. The only shikwa we have is that we wish the creators had left some space in Shamsher’s character for us to easily accept this change. A door for his redemption should have been kept open. He was shown to be toxic, selfish & single-mindedly obsessive. Transitioning from that person to this new, caring Shamsher is not easy to digest.

Is betrayal from his father a good enough reason for Shamsher to change and feel the pain? Do people like Shamsher even have a relationship with their families? We clearly missed it in Shamsher.

Mehek has taken the brave step of registering a complaint against Shamsher’s father but she might face resistance from her family. Her father who is already unwell, might not take it too well.

Does He Deserve A Second Chance?

After this drastic change in Shamsher, does he deserve a 2nd chance?

The new and changed Shamsher also poses the risk of sending out a message that toxic, obsessive, and selfish persons can change in real life when they actually might not… giving false hope to many women – sending them a wrong (and dangerous) message that they should keep putting up with abuse in the hope of change and not take any action to protect themselves.

All this could have been avoided by simply showing a softer side of him, some redeeming factor in him during the initial episodes, and maybe not toning down the extremely toxic behavior he showed us early.
